    erm,

do you leave your notebook on overnight? i plan to leave it overnight downloading stuff. is that alright? or i need to get a notebook cooler?

I was planning on using my old P3 desktop but it seems it isn't cooperating right now.

    thanks!

my older brother always left his laptop turned on overnight. . . . downloading **** and movies. . . as of now no problem with his laptop, i even try to touch it if it is too hot, but it is not and take note he dont have an aircon unit in his room, he only have is the standard rotating electric fan

Its perfectly fine to leave your laptop on 24/7. Just make sure that the fans are not blocked. I leave mine on days at a time. No aircon, no electric fan. I do have my laptop undervolted and it helps in keeping it cool. If you are concerned about heat, try getting a notebook cooler.

I leave my notebook on all the time, 24/7, also without any A/C or electric fan. I do use a USB notebook cooler to prevent it from 'overheating'. I suggest you get a notebook cooler made of aluminum as the plastic ones didnt last me very long. Depending on the size of your notebook, get one with 2 big fans or a model with 3 normal fans.

yes, just like your celphone(most of it are Li-on battery)same ways for its maintenance to have a longer life of battery. Li-on battery can be charged anytime. Make use of battery, less cost on electricity.

is there a way to adjust the contrast of the monitor of laptops? masyadong bright kasi yung white sa screen, medyo nakakasilaw magbasa. buti pa itong LCD monitor ng desktop ko, hindi masakit sa mata.

they do not have bright /contract adjustment but you can go to display properties, click "appearance" then "chick color scheme". select which is okay for you, then click okay

Kung 5V, ok lang. Minimal lang ang consumption. Pero meron kasi yung mga 12V, tri-fan aluminum laptop cooler. Yun medyo madugo na sa power consumption.
