Sounds more like a faulty cable to me. Try to see if the cable head is a little loose. It happens all the time on ordinary telephone sets when the person at the other line becomes choppy and you find out the cable is bad. My PLDT DSL 512 kbps doesn't go on-and-off like that.

You only have to buy the ink one time (it's a promotion deal). When the ink runs dry later, you can buy your ink somewhere else. Atleast you don't have to pay for the printer itself. And you need an ink for the printer anyway.

Lexmark inks are known to dry up very quickly even when not used

BlueBimmer, ano na namang ka-menyeken yang dina-download mong divx movies ha? Japanese ba yan? Pa-kopya.

This is not a straightforward arithmetic. It also depends on the connection speed of the machine you are downloading from, and the current network traffic on that machine also.

Example, if you are on PLDT MyDSL 512 kbps, and you are downloading from a computer user who is on 56k Dial-Up, the download time to you would still be painfully slow. If there are many users downloading that same file from that same computer, the download time to you would still be painfully slow.

You should also note that your DSL speed depends on your distance from the the telephone company. And the speed itself changes from time-to-time due to many other uncontrolled factors. The 512 kbps only tells you the maximum capability of your connection. It does NOT mean you will always get 512 kbps all the time.

    512kbps is just a burst.

ahahah yeah i figured that. But still, more or less lang re kbps speed.
anyway, I also know that I shouldn't expect 512kbps all the time but lower than 100kbps (most of the time if not all the time) is crazy! I only dl from users with cable/dsl connection also (shempre naman).

You should also note that your DSL speed depends on your distance from the the telephone company.
    O i'm almost 4kms away from a pldt co.

so laging may uncontrolled factors ever since i have my dsl connected! waaaahhh this is BS.

anyway, thanks for all the input. ang concern ko lang is more on the on-off of the connection...it is annoying. I do not dl that much naman kaya tama lang sa ken un nga lang when i do dl, lower than 100kbps is disappointing. I've tried 173 kaso alang sumasagot. it's been 2 days na walang sumasagot. ganon ba ako kamalas? may balat ata ako sa pwet eh. Ahahahaha

*flakez: bandwidth ko minsan umabot pa ng 76kbps!! (checked it through the bandwidth test sa pldt myplay). And to think i checked this na walang dina download.
