Guys,
I'm considering photography as a new hobby. My current budget for a digital camera (Brand new) is at P25k-30k. Please recommend a good one for me. Sana yung upgradable na. I'm not brand conscious for as long as the camera has good enough features and is durable.
Thanks.

Hmmm... magastos na bisyo din yan, with limited budget you cannot have all the best features and upgrade concerns.
Hanapin mo yung may pinakamataas or malayong optical zoom, don't be bothered by digital zoom its only panning the image on the focused item. Another concern is power supply, aim for a unit that uses AA batts, proprietary batts will have you scampering for outlets when shooting with low batts.
Eto yung pinaguusapan namin ni afrasay na upgrade ko sana:
1. Fuji Finepix S5000 Digital Camera Php 26,550.00
2. Fuji Finepix S7000 Digital Camera Php 41,600.00
3. Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-F828 Digital Camera Php58,000.00
4. Nikon Coolpix 8700 Digital Camera
5. Kodak EasyShare DX6490 Digital Camera
Edit: Ayaw lumabas nung link, post ko na lang yung choices.Last edited by Ungas; May 24th, 2004 at 08:59 AM.

What exactly is the difference bet optical and digital zoom. Anyway, i'll look into the fuji s5000 since yun ang pinakamura.

Professional SLRs costs 90-100k!
Optical zoom magnifies on the target with the use of its lenses, while digital zoom is done by manipulating the focused target with panning image. Pinalalaki lang ng digital zoom hindi tulad ng optical zoom na pinalalapit sa iyo.
Nalimutan ko add:
6. Canon S1 IS

Suggest ko lang, buy outside the Phils para mas mura, if you have contacts outside like HK or US na uuwi next month.
Uh, di mo trip ang film based? I think kasya na ang Nikon F80 sa 30K. Can't recall.

Thanks Ungas.
PK,
SLR yung manual that uses film di ba? Digital ang gusto ko eh para hassle free sa editing and no film wastage.
