djerms, ang isa pang cost effective (siguro) sa pagbili ng digicam is kung meron ka ng mga ito or planning to buy them in the future..

1) video camera (mini-DV)
2) PDA
3) cellphone

medyo magastos yata kung iba-iba ang memory card na gamit for the above gadgets..

We're also buying a new digicam maybe next week next month! Its either a 5.1 pixels sony or 5.0 pixels cannon ixus... pero malamang na cannon ang bilin dahil mas maganda ang lens ng cannon compared to other digicams... ^_^

ang problem lang sa pentax is hindi pa kayang i-service ng local service centers ang digical cams. pero so far, 1 yr na sa akin ang pentax optio s, wala pa naman akong problem.

and, hindi din ako masyadong maselan sa picture quality, basta maganda ang kuha, ok na sa akin. i seldom print my pics naman, naka store lang sa pc ko.

ah... kasi meron kaming camera na pentax pero hindi sya digital... sira siya pero di namin mapaayos dahil wala daw marunong mag-ayos ng pentax... sa states kasi namin binili yun... kaya mukhang mahirap yata ipaayos ang pentax cameras... ^_^

meron naman pentax service center sa cubao and sampaloc ata. i had my non-digital pentax serviced at both service centers already. nagawa naman nila.

I myself owns a FUJI S5000 camera. I bought last February pa. I'm one of the very satisfied owner ng S5000, can't you imagine? 3 of my colleagues also bought the same camera after I bought mine. I already have more than 2,000 pictures taken with this camera and most of the people saw my pictures gave a 2 thumbs up. Try to look at May and June issues of T3, it is still the BEST BUY camera. Please be aware that the 25-26K, you only pay for the following :

- camera
- 16MB xD card
- 4 X AA disposable baterries

You would need to buy the following

- xD card updrage (128 or 256MB)
- Case
- 2 sets of AA rechargable baterry ( Should be metal hydrite)
- Lens Filter
- Card reader ( not a must but could be better if you have)




Good points :
- Very nice pictures
- magaan at maganda ang grip
- long battery life. I can take an average of 200 pictures sa isang load ng 4XAA baterries
- xD cards? not a problem with me. it is indeed fast. ( I just bought an adaptor to make it compatible with SM or you could also buy a CF adaptor)

Bad points :
- It is not really a true-SLR (it's just SLR-style - mini)
- you need to pull-out the baterry, to charge them
- View finder resolution is not that impressive.

badkuk, wala yata ako alam na heavy duty na digital camera, bili ka na lang ng mga tig 8Kphp na digicam para hindi masakit sa bulsa pag nasira..

badkuk, get a camera with an all metal casing ang a small lcd screen. at least oks lang ihagis-hagis kasi di masyadong maselan. shop around na lang for something which fits your budget

actually i've taken a liking to the Olympus mju-series...all-metal casing, "weatherproof"...well, all except the price. perhaps by yearend e medyo bumaba na B).

I'm using a canon A70 3.2MP ....with a 256MB CF card .... I had my bro from NY buy it online .... total cost is P15,000 ..... I was able to save around P7,000 if I were to buy it here.

I'm very satisfied with it .... plus it uses AA batteries ...(I got rechargeables 2100 MaH sa virra mall)

In short, good quality at an affordable price ....
