I recently bought a google chromecast w/ google tv 4K. My LED TV is not 4K just 1080 high definition will my video stream becomes 4K with chromecast? also I noticed that the volume rocker in the remote is not functioning it doesn't increase or decrease the volume of the TV even if im using my mobile phone as remote control for the TV the volume control is not functioning too I have to use my TV remote to adjust the volume.

There's a setting in the chromecast to control the volume of TV using the chromecast remote. Have you set it up? The chromecast will give a list of TV brands to choose from, then will tell you to try each IR code on your TV.
It has same thing for power button on chromecast.

March 14th, 2023 11:07 AM #407Slightly off-topic since this thread specifically says LED and not OLED, but I posted this in another forum:
Rtings updated their long-term image retention results for OLEDs:
Longevity Burn-In Investigative Paths After 3 Months: QD-OLED vs. WOLED, LG vs. Sony, And More - RTINGS.com
tl;dr: For some reason Sony TVs are degrading faster than LG's despite using the same panel. QD-OLED more at risk of burn-in compared to WOLED.
