Omni mga led namin sa bahay since 2015. More than 60-70% are still alive today.
The ones that got busted were replaced by Philips and Firefly, both cant last 2 years.
Yung busted Philips bulbs would have a crack sa body.
So pinaka durable ang Omni but mahina ang lumen output compared to Philips.

Omni, Philips and Firefly. based on my experience. I had a Firefly warmwhite led on our sala lampshade. I think that was installed 3-4 years ago. used every night. We also had a Firefly dusk and dawn LED that has a photosensor. It turns on or off automatically. It was installed 2 years ago. same as the Firefly in my lampshade. we used it every night.

Philips daylight was installed on our dining area since 2017. No problems at all. Omni daylight 7w installed on the balcony since 2017-18. Again no problems..

Every time I go find an LED bulbs at ACE hardware, these brands I chose...

dad bought an Akari 15W led na wala pang 1 year, medyo humihina na yung liwanag kapag matagal naka on. Sometimes nag flilflicker siya.. mahilig pa naman siya bumili ng Akari before..some of them less than a year have experienced flickering issues...

    Swerte swerte pa rin.

We have 5 NXLeds in two sets in the kitchen. 1 of each set conked out in less than 2 years.

We also have 2 sets of 6 Firefly tube types in the dining room. One from each set were replaced in less than two years.

All of our Akari pinlights are still good.

I've had exactly one LED failure which was a 2nd gen GES ceiling light. Failed after 3 years.

    Replaced with an Omni.

The rest of my LEDs are either Omni or Philips, so far so good at around 3-4 years old now.

I have had good experience with Philips.

Do note that all brands carry different tiers in their product lines, from cheap/eco (for the budget-conscious), to the middle-of-the-pack, up to premium ones. Hence, their performance and lifespan varies widely.

Haven't experimented with different brands of LED house bulbs but in my experience,

Philips - longest we have that looks as bright as new
NXled - so far we like the tri-color and their non frosted glass
GES - fastest that got busted
Akari - seems ok. haven't tested that long yet

Have used Philips and Firefly. Although I've had a couple of early failures from both, on average the Philips ones last longer. And they seem to be brighter vs Firefly when they get older. Color temp is also spot on. No weird tint of green/blue for cool daylight temps. Sumasakit ulo ko pag matagal na under those weird colors. This is why I still stick to Philips.

We were looking at the Osram pinlights worth 2k each. We needed 15 pieces. Akari it is

The expensive pinlights have two axes of motion while the cheaper ones only have one. The Osrams will last forever but the initial cash layout is scary.

meron ba tint snobs dito? it really annoys me that led bulbs are either too warm or too cool. why aren't the nice neutral whites more readily available?

may mga dual color led lamps na.. pwedeng white, warm tapos pwede white-warm.. mas gusto ko yan. parang mas balanced yung output pag dual color naka on

    it would appear,
    quality control varies,
    even under the same brand...
    ... manufacturing evolution?

According to reviews, Philips daw pinaka accurate sa color temperature...

I had to replace this firefly 28 Watts dahil pundi na.
    img_20230214_212151.jpg

Eto pinalit ko, philips 17 Watts. Lumabas na mas maliwanag pa itong 17 Watts vs 28 Watts. Bakit kaya? Hindi porket mataas ang Watts mataas na rin lumens? Is it because philips is better? Or my specs ako na hindi na intindihan?

    i did notice,
older leds tended to be not as bright as their equivalent-wattage but newer models.

The Philips has a narrower beam... 150°, vs the Firefly's 220°. Another way to put it, the Philips would have more light pointing downward and would be perceived as brighter between the two.

It also has to do with the efficiency of the LEDs and driver used, as well as how hard the LEDs are driven. Over-driven LEDs tends to be brighter but will have a shorter lifespan.
