Mura na Pala LCD ngayon compared nung bumili kami back in 2008

I bought Toshiba REGZA LCD 32PB20E (w/ movie format) 14.2k at Western Appliance. 700bucks cheaper sa SM. :2thumbsup:
Slightly OT:
I primarily play HD movies off of my server. Can a Smart LED TV be a substitute for media streamers such as WD TV Live, Xtreamer, Popcorn Hour, Roku, etc.? More importantly, can it play a plethora of movie file formats from a networked PC without a hitch?
The models I'm considering are:
Smart LED TV:
LG SMART LED 42” 42LS5700 or
LG SMART LED 42” 42LV3700
Conventional LED TV:
LG LED 42” 42LS3400
FWIW, I already have a WDTV Live Streaming Media Player connected to a conventional LCD TV.
san po kaya murang bilihan branded appliances? SM, robinsons, cash n carry, walter, abenson, anson? gusto ko narin palitan tv namin luma...1st time po sana magka flat TV hehehe.... sound system ko sa Raon nalang hehehe
Thanks for that. After reading a bit more on smart/Internet TVs, I think I answered my own question... I'll just take a pass on the hype.
I feel that the technology is still in its infancy and I could probably just use the money for a bigger non-smart LED TV. I tried browsing the Internet using my brother's PS3 and 46" LED TV and it gave me a headache. All that squinting and zooming in/out can get pretty old, pretty fast.
For what the current-generation smart TVs can do, I'd probably be able to do better with the WDTV + iPad2 combo for media playback and apps/Internet, respectively. :D
those who are shopping or seeing ads, please continue to post good deals and the retailer. wife and i researching if we should bring home a small 32 to 42 lcd or led plus possible $150 excess fee, or just simply buy there if the price is not that far. thanks.

Kumuha ako sa SM last week 46 inch na LED devant 36k...pwede na, super nipis, full HD tapos meron feature na sobrang crisp nga galaw sa screen yung mhz ata yun mas mataas sa ordinaryong TV.
