Do you still use a desktop PC in your home? or you just use a laptop? or you have both desktop PC and laptop? what is your preference.![]()
Meron kaming laptop,netbook.tablet at desktop.
I used to have lots of desktops for multi-boxing (online mmorpg gamers will know what I mean) and I had a quadcore desktop as a file and video server as well. I also had two HTPCs (home theatre pc). I changed the server to a quadcore laptop and saved a bundle on electric bills (it was on 24x7). I also changed the two HTPCs to western digital live tv players . I still have one gaming desktop left for serious gaming. But recently I have been buying laptops with graphics power that is even more powerful than my remaining desktop. I have a laptop with a gtx 770m (sager p150) and another one with SLI 750m (lenovo y510p) Laptops rule - in particular that Lenovo sure is really nice bang for buck. Tablets and laptops are it for me from now on. No more desktops for me ever. Once this last remaining desktop outlives its graphics card and 3rd Gen i7 I am replacing it with another laptop.
My set up is 7 laptops and 1 desktop. My small kids call their friends over and have lan parties all the time. Fun to watch.

I remember way back with RED ALERT and STARCRAFT, my friends and I would have LAN parties at one of our homes. We would have to lug our full-tower RIGS and massively heavy 17 to 19 inch CRT monitors to each other's homes ... given the effort, such were only done on long weekends.
Today, just bring your current laptop with built-in gaming GPU, connect to the local WIFI and go! (ah! ... and also bring your fav mouse!)
My kids play total annihilation and team fortress 2. Sometimes we play halflife multiplayer hehehe. The 'bounce' map is the best!

I have both.
At portable pa.
i have both, DESKTOP and LAPTOP
ng assassins creed 3 at Call of Duty Black ops 2 :D
planning to dispose na kasi my desktop and use my laptop at home. problema lang sa laptop pagnasira, parang disposable na unlike desktop na you could change individual parts inside the cpu.
