parang ganito....
acer = mura ang price mataas pa ang specs... in short better quality pagdating sa specs then dis advantage tulad ng sabi nyo marami nag claim na sirain sya...
other brands = medyo mahal ng konti medyo mababa specs sa price nya na mahal in short medyo mababa quality nya pagdating sa specs.. advantage hindi sya sirain tulad ng sinabi mo..
kung ako ang gagamit at may pagka techy ako.. dun na ako sa acer hehe..... mas cheaper at mataas ang spec compare sa iba..

I have had a couple of ACER laptops in the past and at least one had developed a fault that disabled the backlight on the LCD screen as well as problems with the built-in speaker where they don't produce sound. All that within ACER's warranty period. I had it fixed but it took nearly two months before I got it back, most of the time was just waiting for parts to arrive.
BTW, ACER laptops are priced roughly the same as MSI, ASUS (based on store price surveys I have done in the past). So why is my experience with MSI and ASUS laptops better? Just saying... because I am not even comparing to other brands like SONY, LENOVO, etc. ACER might seem cheaper simply because they omit things from the package, like the OS.

same price but different specs mas ahead ang specs ng acer..
yung ibang brand kasi mas more sila sa gaming or yung iba naman
mas more sa browsing/net speed or i dont know talaga hehe..

Lenovo z400 or thinkpad b480 / edge e431 depende application needs mo..
Im a lenovo user for 4-5years na wala akong nagiging problema.. Before ako nglenovo, asus ako.. ok din naman, pero wala syang safety features sa wear and tear para sa battery tulad ng sa lenovo..
Plus yung thinkpad afaik 2years ang warranty for your confidence..

Mukhang

If you have other brands good and bad experience just post it here.
Thanks.Last edited by gearspeed; September 25th, 2013 at 08:27 PM.

Toshiba laptops for me are still the best, pagdating sa reliability.
I had a Toshiba Satellite laptop, used it for 5 years, sobrang bagal nalang, kaya kelangan ng iretire..
Then I bought an HP Compaq in 2009, buhay pa till now, naka-windows 8 na din, ahaha! yun nga lang, parang CPU nalang sya, kasi nasunog na yung LCD nya, wala ng ilaw. ehehe!
If you need it for games, nothing beats a desktop. Assemble nalang.Last edited by slapz; September 25th, 2013 at 08:48 PM.

Going back to my posted graph....
Given you only have two acer laptops to speak of.... I have already gone through half a dozen laptops with the following mix of brands: hp, acer, asus, msi... And it seems my personal experience with them does match the chart above (that certain brands are less reliable than others). Hence I cannot recommend ACER as a reliable laptop because the chance of a "malfunction" is higher than in others. Even if you save a couple thousand bucks (because, as you claim, that the acer laptop is a bit cheaper than other brands) is not worth the hassle of waiting 1 to 2 months without your laptop, waiting for replacement parts to arrive (even if it is still within warranty).
Also, it is not that I baby my laptops. They go with me practically everyday wherever I go. That is including trips around the country, abroad and on-board flights as well (watching a few videos) which means it goes through the tumble and jostle like any other bag I have with me.
