If you want Win7 functionality, you can just install a program that replicates the function of the start button and disables metro. They are free to download.

i also vouch for the asus. ganyan gamit nung isa kong staff. nakakainggit nga eh.
on windows 8, its similar to windows 7..... without the start button. the start button is replaced by the live screen.

but personally, i don't feel comfortable with windows.... i prefer ubuntu.
parang nababagalan ako and needs regular maintenance.

2years ago ko pa nabili akin
ganyang specs worth 33k lang, walang OS..

kung bibili ka ng laptop bili ka walang OS
sigruo ngayon makakabili ka na ng mataas pa sa specs
na gusto mo worth 33k basta walang OS..
yang OS na yan ang nagpapamahal worth 3-5k kaya yan....

acer ko 2years na pero ganda pa din gamitin gamit na gamit 8 hours straight ;)

Nagtitingin tingin muna ako kung ano maganda sa ATC or SM.
Yung sa kapatid ko DELL kaso nasira na at bibili rin siya ng bagong laptop.
Puro laptop ata biblhin namin this year.hahaha.
Laptop sa akin para din kapag dyno tune ng sasakyan kaya kailangan ko din ng laptop.Gusto ko kasi ako bibili nun software at dun ilalagay lahat.

Nagtitingin tingin muna ako kung ano maganda sa ATC or SM.

luma na ito.. acer aspire 4755g model.. malamang wala na ito ngayon
pero yun price na 33k ngayon sa acer malamang mas maganda pa
kasi 2 years ago na toh... basta yung walang OS bilhin mo
sa SM ko din binili..

Overall, ACER has a higher defect rate within the first two years.
ASUS has one of the lower defect rate in the same period.
HP and DELL is.... (well).... garbage.

I currently have an ASUS ZENBOOK which is a higher model of the one you are looking at. It has the same fixed battery, etc. Personally I like the ultrabook format because it is very thin and stylish. I don't miss not having a DVD drive and it even saves some weight not having it on the laptop. For times I do need an optical drive, I have an USB external CD/DVD drive.

As for leaving it plugged in the whole day, not really an issue. My zenbook is almost a year old and battery wear is still under 2%. I leave it plugged in every night and bring the ultrabook with me during the daytime. The only issue I have found is the heat when I am playing graphics heavy games. To fix that, I just use a laptop pad with fans under it when I am playing games.

mas marami ang defects kasi marami products
kesa sa konti lang ang nabili. kaya konti din ang defects..

hehe buti nalang wala pang nasisirang acer sa amin..

Edit: My Asus just worked for a year before falling apart and would not turn on. Papaayos ko sana kaso mahal kaya bili na lang ng tablet.

Exactly. It is in percent. So it does not matter if you sell 1,000,000 or 100,000 units of the product.

haha ok meron ako dati old acer wla syang cam.
then yung next is pentium 4 meron na cam
nabenta na kasi luma na palit bago..
by the way wala yan sira nang maibenta. babad pa yan sa akin

ngayon i5 na acer...2 years na pukpukan ang gamit.. still buhay pa din at humihinga haha
gamit sa games, internet, ibat ibang application, lahat lahat ng pwede pag experiment nagawa ko na
wala naman yan sa stat stat .. nasa gumagamit yan
aanhin mo mataas na stat ng quality. kung alam lang gamitin mag internet haha
pati ms office..(pagdating sa pag cure ng virus, bad sector or kahit anong related sa software nganga na)sira talaga yan

(kaya ko lang natanong kung philippines, malay ko ba kung san galing yang stat mo haha..
pati wala naman ako paki sa history or stat na yan, tiwala naman ako sa mga gadgets ko
basta ang technique lang dyan gamitin mo ng gamitin hangat may warranty pag di pa din sira
kahit tapus na warranty mo it means na matibay yan ;) "pag nasira papalitan mo ng bago or pyesa pag under warranty pa " )
