Got a free Globe At Home Prepaid Wifi yesterday. Day before, tumawag ang Globe CS sakin apologizing dahil di pa daw kami mamigrate to fiber (free u[grade) dahil wala pang available cabinet malapit samin. For the meantime daw, bibigyan daw muna nila ako ng prepaid wifi (free of charge) in case magkaproblema ang DSL ko. May free 10GB and natest ko na, pwede na pangsurf surf.
I don't know if nagbago na ang policy nila, but I have maintained a prepaid sim for 14 years without using it (no activity) except loading it just to renew the expiration, I even experienced having my load expired and the sim inoperable for awhile, but the csr fixed it over the phone lang. Btw, i just let it expire this year, since nobody is calling me there anymore.

Kamusta po? After po ba ng post nyo na-resolve na ni Globe yung error sa system nila.. Reactivated na po ba ulit number nyo and pwede na po gamitin..
Bad trip tong globe at home. Na nanahimik ako dito and satisfied with my internet, bigla mat tumawag at may darating daw na tech para convert yung vdsl namin to fiber. Syempre na excite ako, one hour later dumating yung tech at sinabi na malayo daw yung box sa amin, kung pwede hintayin na lang na magkaroon ng box malapit sa amin. Reklamo pa ng tech na masyado daw marami puno. So I guess wala na mangyayari sa amin since hindi naman mawawala yang mga puno na yan.
Eto rin hirap ng walang masyado bahay, wala masyado subscriber malapit sa min kaya hindi worth it para sa kanila mag upgrade ng line.
Kahit yung pldt namin DSL pa rin. Ilang beses na ko nag apply para maging fiber walang nangyayari.

How malayo is malayo? Yung fiber box ko is around 5 houses away. DSL box was right outside my window. Alam ko lesser ang distance issue with fiber than copper. Baka tinamad lang ang tech maglatag. Report mo sa app baka mabigyan ka ng ibang tech.
Same case sa area namin, weird lang is madami subscribers sa area. Mukhang late lang talaga i upgrade to full fiber.
Sinadya ko na mismo sa office, pag kausap mo taga office meron na daw fiber sa area namin.
Here comes the tech guys para mag survey, wala pa daw.
Repeat again balik ako sa office to request since ticket will be considered closed na dun sa original ko na request.
Parang 3x ako pinuntahan (iba ibang contractors naman) to inform me wala pa nga.
Again madami subscribers sa area namin experiencing downtimes. Recurring yung issue. No permanent remedy nga aside to upgrading to full fiber mga lines. Kaso waiting game daw talaga no ETA kung kailan.

Swerte lang siguro samin since halos sabay ang Converge, PLDT, and Globe naglatag ng main fiber line. Nung nalaman ko sa contractor na Globe na nilalatag nila, after 2 months tawag na sila for upgrade. Smooth sailing naman. Nag-iba lang account number so I had to re-enroll the new one for bills payment.
Sent a request to upgrade from my current 1899 35mbs to 2199 50mbs. Dating 2499 yung 50mbps so I think it's a good deal already.
Around 3 years ago, there were hardly any NAPs in our vicinity. I had to literally flag down a roving FiberHome crew to ask where the nearest NAP was. It turned out, there's one 2 or 3 blocks away on a different street. Long story short, we were migrated to Fibr (from DSL) a week and a half later.
Sometimes, you just need to take matters into your own hands.
Since around last year, I've seen a NAP installed in front of our home. We get excellent SNR with the current "long-haul" connection so i don't see any reason to have it switched to the closer NAP. Like they say, "If it ain't broke....".
Mabagal sales CSR ng Globe. Puro sila ad ng promo pero no feedback after the 48 hour promise. May sasagot naman sa Messenger pero pagbigay ng ref num wala na.
Buti na lang nasa ibang queue ang tech issues. Mas reliable pa yun at usually the next day may site visit na.

Ingat ka dyan... Yang 'free' upgrade na yan magkakaloko-loko bill mo... I usually pay in advance. Like before cutoff. Biglan may dumating na bill sakin, yung isa overpayment ako ng 200 pesos... Tapos may bagong bill na sinisingil ako ng 3000 pesos. To thibk plan 1899 lang plan ko. Wala rin CS para magexplain what happened.

Magulo ang sales ng Globe. Finally got confirmation that my account addon is being processed. Daming reference number binigay di naman searchable sa site nila.
And I also got word that they can't process my plan upgrade until I increase my credit limit. More hoops to jump through.
