There is a Beta release of Safari for Windows. That's what I'm using now on my PC at work.

nagamit ko yung firefox ultimate optimizer.

    http://firefox-ultimate-optimizer.en.softonic.com/

the memory consumption is unbelievably small...

didn't imagine firefox could be moderated to 10,000 K or even 500 bytes lang :shocked2:

    my nephew's pc:

Rion: Thanks for the link, will try that... Friggin firefox is "heavier" than IE these days, 2-3 windows can rack up 350k of mem usage..

can't believe it's way better than maxthon. maxthon used the be the smallest resource eater.

imagine 3 tabs with 180 k lang? no comas yan ha...

it will make some changes in your windows file, it's not 100% safe pala, it is possible of bugs and won't work smoothly on your system, but no secretly accessing the net.

my bro found it and told the good news about it in a forum, but people instead accuse him of giving them a virus that he made. hahaha...

will only work on firefox 2 unfortunately. but it's way way smaller than firefox 3.

Boybi: daming di pwede sa Beta version... halos lahat ng add-ons di gumagana sa beta din kaya i switched back to the release version...

According to M2, linilipat lang yung resource from memory to pagefile, so ganun lang din pala yung optimizer...

we have two computers at home. one Oclar and a compaq. before i always browse and use the compaq because its more faster then oclar BEFORE. when i work with yahoo answers and i post a question, and when i hit SUBMIT, the firefox agent appears and closes the FF window. im getting pissed of it. im saying to the ff agent: stupid browser fails again. nagtataka nga ako kung bat ganun. NOW, the oclar's memory is uprgaded to 512mb thus making it faster. so i switch to this(oclar) computer. noe im using firefox 3 beta 5. i had no problems with it. except for once that im working with FF and yahoo messenger. sometimes when the pages overlap, the FF hangs and when i minimize the YM window, there's a white space that is left on FF window. then it hangs. then i hit CLOSE and open again FF then hit restore previous page. no other problems in FF3B5 other than that..

    that's my problem with firefox..

and btw, i have used opera before and wasn't impressed. its sloooowww. i also tried IE7. its okey but FF is faster.. that's why i still continue using FF even if im experiencing these bugs..

hmm... that issue can be related to your OS, RAM, or video card. rendering between application windows is handled by the OS not any individual application.

To those using Firefox betas....... Why do you guys use betas when there are stable versions available? Betas are just that, betas. They're bound to have bugs, unoptimized, and unpredictable

I was wondering if it's because both those apps compete for internet access. Maybe the bandwidth isn't fast enough for both. I have cable broadband. No issues whatsoever. But, I might've seen similar refresh problems at a friend's house which has slower dsl.

Is just YM and FF together or does it affect non-internet apps as well?

I find the beta version of Firefox faster than the supposedly stable version.
