Me? I am buying another netbook next month...:twak:
10.6K:horse:
Next year pa sana ko balak kumuha ng netbook.
But there might be a possiblity that I need to get one earlier, maybe by 2nd week of September.
Nag-canvass na ko sa Megamall Cyberzone. My choices are in this order:
1. MSI (U123HW or U160).
2. Asus
3. Lenovo
Any feedback ("reviews") from those who already tried these? TIA
There is a store in QC having a warehouse sale of various laptops, netbooks, PCs, computer parts, etc.
Noted among the listed stuff are 50 units of ASUS EEE 1005HA.
Spec: Intel Atom N270, 10inch LCD, 1gb ram, 160hdd, six cell battery, Wifi-N, BT, Windows XP Home.
Unit colors: White and Pink.
SRP = P18,000.
Sale price = P12,500
The shop is PC WORX located along E.Rod.Sr. Ave in QC.
(if you are at E.Rod/Balete, turn toward Cubao. Before reaching a Shell station on your left, PC WORX will be on your right. There are some road diggings right in front of the store.)
The sale is from Aug 25 until Aug 31 2010 (or until supplies last).
Shop hours 10:00am to 7:00pm
Yep, still using and very happy with my MSI wind with upgraded RAM (2 Gig). Nasira na yung isa pa pero it was a shared unit. I guess one of the sharers destroyed the darn thing -- pasalamat siya 6 years old lang siya. hahaha.![]()
They had 100 units of Asus 1005ha netbooks pala when they started the sale.
Today, there was less than 10 units left.
if you can wait, lots of stuff are coming out next year from hp, samsung etc.
samsung is coming out with galaxy tab, ipad type running on android. looks cool and its going to be cheaper than ipad.
just got my mom a Lenovo S10-3 Tablet yesterday. na hand me down sakin yung S10-2 nya.
so far so good.![]()
Pag sinabi ba na 2 Gig sa netbook ay 2 X 1Gb RAM or 1-PC 2 Gb na?
whoa, ang bilis naman. Sa Ortigas Center kasi ang location ng trabaho ko. There will be a possibility na ipadala kami sa ibang bansa for 3-4 months kaya nagwi-windowshop pa lang ako. I will buy using credit card (installment).![]()
you're right sir. more pricey sya compare sa iba. maganda kasi reviews thats why... pero IMO bang for the buck yung S10-3 na tablet. parang IPAD tho parang lang naman
*KERSM
hmmm... gotta get me one of those tablet pc's
good thing my cousin sells them for 9k petot![]()
Damn, son! Where'd you find this?
Generally with netbooks it is just one slot (although there are other units with the first 1GB of ram soldered directly on the motherboard).
If you are still planning to buy one at the warehouse sale, i wouldn't think you would find an Asus 1005HA left. And they only accept cash for the special warehouse sale. Sale ends Aug 31.whoa, ang bilis naman. Sa Ortigas Center kasi ang location ng trabaho ko. There will be a possibility na ipadala kami sa ibang bansa for 3-4 months kaya nagwi-windowshop pa lang ako. I will buy using credit card (installment).![]()
Anyway, even at regular prices (around P18k to P20k), the Asus EEE 1005 is a good netbook. The current models are 1005PA or PE (i think) but the general specs are similar, 10 hour battery life, 1gb ram, 10 inch LCD and usually 250gb HDD now (160gb on the older model 1005HA) and comes with Windows 7 Starter.
The bigger keyboard makes typing easier too.
I'll buy a netbook next week or this weekend. I havent decided which brand. My choices are:
1. MSI
2. lenovo
3. Asus
and
4. Toshiba.
Budget up to 24K. I'll purchase using credit card and 12 mos. installment.
any new inputs?

If you are open to 12 inch netbooks...
MSi Wind12 U230
review: http://www.testfreaks.com/blog/revie...-u230-netbook/
Lenovo. Of all the netbooks i've owned (Acer One, Lenovo S10, Asus Eepc and some junk with 7" screen) this one was the best.
However I gave up with these cute toys. Screens are too small and useless for reading ebooks/PDF. Siguro yung tablet ng Asus puwede pa. Still the too small keyboard is too small for my big fingers.
Maybe the more pa-uso Ipad.....no not really.![]()
