    masmahal ang pre-contract termination..pero, isipin nyo, pag tumagal, masmahal bayad nyo sa poor service, pero kung dc nyo, bayad, then lipat sa better ISP!

    eto di naisip namin noon, nanghinayang kasi kami sa pre-term fee, e kapalit is nawala ung customers namin....lumipat sa kabila...

    ^ sir our dsl subsciption is already more than a year. satisfied naman ako sa service but i just need to downgrade because the people who are really using the connection is out of the country..

    pa rant lang ... out of service ako from DumbBRO since Oct 03

    Oct 07 : Called them to report, waited 45mins to speak to a CSR, spent over 2 hours trying to get them to understand my issue and a schedule for on-site support, they quoted Oct 12 = i said NO, CAN'T ACCEPT THAT ... they said they will try to send the crew which is working on a client system about 8kms from our house

    Oct 07, 08 : No call, no contractors

    Oct 09 : Called to follow up (same experience of long queue, explain problem again, etc). Got a schedule Oct 11 on site visit

    Oct 11 : Called 8am to check if they will come, told to call after 12 if no one shows up. Called them after 12nn since no one came to the house. Told to wait since they do work until 8pm. Being stuck in skyway from 6:30 to 7:30 i called to check why no one has come to the house yet. THEY DON'T KNOW, and need to check with contractor. Called them again after I reached the house, and got promise from Supervisor JULIE that they will come Oct 12. She said personally, she guarantees that someone will come to the house and call me to confirm.

    Oct 12 : No one came to the house (by this time folks at home angry since they have been adjusting their schedule to accommodate the crew of DumbBRO.

    Oct 13 6am: Called again, got hold of a CSR ended up speaking with another supervisor named TESS. She does not know why they missed the commit Oct 11 on-site support. Personally promised me that her manager will call me between 10am until 4pm since my case is already beyond normal (hallo! ) I have the full right to complain. Told me that at this point, I have the right to pre-terminate contract and get refund, without any fees for pre-termination. But asked me for another chance to give them time to resolve the issue.

    Oct 13 after 4pm : Called again, ended up with a CSR who does not know what to do (did not check case history etc) and I refused to hang up until I speak with somebody else. Ended up with ANOTHER! Supervisor LJ, who told me that he will call me after 10mins if we end the call now, but not sure if it's really going to be 10mins if I want to stay on hold (duh?!).

    Ended up accepting commitment that contractor will go to the house between 6 to 7pm. So I'm here in the office, on a Friday night waiting advise from my folks at home if they do come. If not, I might go and drive tomorrow to their office with the antenna and shove it up their a$s (excuse my french).

    back to topic: Damn PLDT MyDSL ... I AGREE, SmartBRO and MyDSL are related right? So they're DAMN and DUMBER!

    same here. di ko makausap family ko sa pinas for i think almost 3 weeks now. basta simula pa nung bagyong milenyo. bad trip nga eh. sa simula lang maayos then pag tumagal na, lang kwenta!!!

    eto, 5mins before 7pm ... called the house. sabi ng Tatay ko may tumawag naman daw kanina lang. telling him that ma-delay sila with 6-7pm commitment kasi nasa MANDALUYONG pa sila ... ayoko na magalit pero this is way TOOOO MUCH! ... taga TAGUIG kami ... grrrrr ... miss ko na mga BIOT ah ... tagal ko na offline !!!

    I just noticed for the 2nd day in a row.... around 6:30pm.... Wala akong DSL!!!!! Mga 1 hour siguro wala tapos babalik....

    Oh well wala tayong choice kasi monopoly ang PLDT... Kahit may competitors... parang pangit pa rin sila kasi pabagsak na Bayantel at wala namang Globe sa QC...

    bakit kaya mas marami problems sa luzon ang mydsl, dito sa mindanao e bihira lang magdown and mydsl, mostly kung masisira because of broken main fiber optic line

    a slightly harsh complaint (email) to customers*pldt.com.ph worked for me.
    i did include my name and phone number.

    my line got fixed with a follow-up call from the local office pa.

    Pareho silang may mali. Ang importante sikat na sila pareho.

    Intermittent DSL ko kanina (hanggang ngayon actually) kaya tumawag ako sa 172. Since alam kong matagal akong maghihintay, iniwan ko muna sa speaker phone. ~12 minutes bago may sumagot. Ang dami sigurong may problema.

    Oct 13, 9:30pm :Contractor finally arrived in the house (after several phone calls to me at the office to find directions. I overheard my Dad saying "kanina pa ako naghihintay dito ..." in the background

    11pm : Got an SMS from DumbBRO contractor (sidenote: he uses Klobe HandyPhone, ironic - oh well) and telling me they rehomed my antenna but due to the additional "tubo" they had to use I need to pay P500

    What the ... ???

    11:30pm : Finally got through CS Hotline, ran after the Supervisor who spoke to me earlier, and boy I lost it ... why? because my poor Dad had no choice but to give him the P500. My folks, retired over 60yrs, needing to hand out money to contractor of DumbBRO, for the "tubo" which should have been there in the 1st place ... 3 months ago when they duped me into signing up with them!

    12MN : Got home, had the Supervisor speak with contractor to tell him to return the money to my parents

    1230am : Was speaking with the contractor, finding out more horror stories about DumbBRO. They said, my antenna was poorly set up in the 1st place!
    The contractorr who set it up originally made "kupit" the pipes and the cables, a normal practice of some contractors that DumbBRO hires!

    130am : Managed to regain my cool and explained to the contractor who fixed my problem, that before all of this I am a good person and will seldom pick a fight or raise my voice. Ayoko lang talaga sa buhay ko is when people making me a fool out of me ... we ended up agreeing that we will both bring this to DumbBRO as a formal complaint, since he also acts a consultant to the service provider.

    Considering the time and effort they did, I eventually gave them P500 for pizza/beer (sana kasya). A goodwill gesture since finally, I am back online from our home.

    depende po kze sa area yung sa PLDT DSL. . . . . .

    if yung area ninyo ay madame, as in madame ang naka DSL, yung tipong kaliwat kanan ang netshops at maraming mayayaman na can afford ng DSL, goodluck sa speed at performance nun, pero may swerte pa din na khit nasa congested area sila e normal naman DSL nila, may mga area kze na konti lng ang may DSL connection kaya la masyado problem at mabilis. And yep yung Smart BRO naman is badtrip lng pag may sobrang lakas na ulan. . . .

    we're paying P1,995 petot for our PLDT connection and we're supposed to get a speend of up to 1.2Mbps. sad to say we're not even getting the P999 speed. we're calling the customer service for so many time to downgrade (i stop counting), to no avail. we sent emails, snailmails, kung pwede lang magpadala na ri ng mga tatadyak sa mga namamahala, pero wala pa rin aksyon. haaaaaaaay

    My PLDT DSL is going off and on. Tatawagan ko na sana yung 171 para magreklamo pero baka umiyak yung nasa kabilang linya...

    sa Cable internet lang po yun nangyayari. ang problema kasi sa wireless technologies, nagkaka-interference dahil sa pababago-bago ng atmosphere. ayun pag umulan and other stuff. wired internet is still the best.


    try nyo bayantel.. 899 *384kbps.. ok naman service, helpful yung nasa helpline nila at may 500 rebate kapag ndi nila nasolve yung problem within 24hours. may iba pang service providers like mozcom, ang alam ko sila isp ng UP Diliman...

    yep your right wired DSL is still the best. . . . wag lng tlga congested ang place at masira mga cable sa poste. . . sa wireless kze dapat walang interference para tuloy2x ang service, pero yung samen wala pa naman problem yung smart bro ko, problem lng pag may super lakas na bagyo kagaya ni milenyo, pero kung typical ulan lng ay ok lng naman. . . based on my experience lng po

    almost 2 years na kaming subscriber sa pldt myDSL, plan 1995.. dumaan na ang ilang upgrades pero ni isa wala kaming natatanggap na upgrade sa speed.. tumawag n ako sa pldt pero kailangan daw ung nakapangalan dun sa linya ng telepono ung kakausapin.. amf na yan eh anong alam ng tatay ko dito, baka uto-utuin lng nila siya.. kung meron lang sana mas magandang dsl subscriber dito sa taytay eh, lilipat talaga ako

    pasingit lang... dati we had smart wifi... since tapos na contract niterminate na namin... since pag d maganda ang weather (specially here in upland cvt) e parang bumabagal ang signal strengt and since mine is on the boundary of their coverage... minsan nawawala pa nga e... it was pretty satisfactory but not all that amazing...

    rignt now im using Globes 3G w hsdpa (may kamahalan pero ok ang speed i connect at up to 1.8 mbps and download speeds nakukuha ko up to 1.4) the prob is pag pumasok na ako sa office ko which is like inside inside bumabagsak ang connection speed... but i seldom do that and i leave my pc in my room where the signal is good.... and you know whats weird when i travel to makati kung san talagang available ang 3g (i dont know baka dun lang sa area ng school ko) bumabagal... weird... the prob with it is d sha pwedeng i network not like wired dsl or yun WiFi with the antenna...

    anyway meron ba jan naka WeRoam... mas mura kase yun mobile broadband nila... any experiences with them? para kaseng nakakatakot din kase diba under PLDT yon... hehehehe
