As pointed out, the laptop is THE computer. The other monitor is just an extension of the laptop screen. Kind of like attaching your laptop to a projector during meetings/presentations. He then attached an external KB and mouse using USBs. I use multi-monitors at home and the office. having 2 monitors is great even before the pandemic for me. You can edit a document in one screen, edit figures or run command-line scripts/codes in another. For online meetings, one screen can be the gallery of the participants or the speaker and the chat box, the other yours or the speakers presentation.
May nabibili rin namang adapter/holder for monitors that don't have the rear screw holes. Magmumukha nga lang malaking cellphone holder.

looking for an autocad friendly mid-level laptop locally. max budget is only 40k.
scanning the net but no success! halos turo lagi sa amazon.
any good recommendation? tia
Autocad just needs at least 8gb of ram. An ssd would be nice to have though. Integrated graphics is ok if youre only doing 2d autocad work.
I would just get whichever Dell, Asus, or Acer is the best value. Check Villman or pchub for laptops.

MSI Modern 14 B11M-652PH - Laptop Factory
MSI Modern 15 A11M-81 PH 15.6" i5-1155G7 | 8GB | 512GB | Win1 – DynaQuest PC
You could also opt for second hand on shops in FB.
There's a better chance you'll get a higher specs laptop (Intel i7 or better) for your budget.
For your budget, you'll most likely get an i3 and lower spec if brand new.
Of course, the best option is still to go to the mall or brick and mortar store and pick the unit yourself. Dynaquest has physical stores where you can pick up the item yourself.
noted on the RAM min. reqmt.
thanks bro... hirap din talaga maghanap ng medyo disente if you're on a budgetMSI Modern 14 B11M-652PH - Laptop Factory

Secondhand X1 Carbon for 40k:

16GB RAM, i7 processor, crazy light, crazy good battery life.
I have a similar laptop (also X1 Carbon but with 512GB storage and 2560x1400 display) - almost 3 years old but still handles my resource-intensive work very well. Tibay ng X1 Carbon and will last you 5 years easily, maybe 10 if you take care of it well.

if the Macbook Air is an M1, it will run circles around the X1 Carbon. The video quality of the retina panel is much better too, heck, even the speakers sound better. The build quality is also better (metal vs plastic). It also is a lot quieter as the Macbook doesn't need a whirring fan.
The Macbook Air M1 will probably get a huge sale soon since the M1 Pros have just been released. It's rumored that an all-new version is due out late next year, though.
