Im disappointed. My desktop isnt compatible w windows 11. For some reason.

Its a 12 core 24 thread amd ryzen beast

64 GB 3666 mhz ram
Rtx 3080
X 550 auros MB
Ssd storsage galore

Its only 2 yrs old.

I cant find the trusted computing bios setting for some reason.

Go to Advanced CPU Settings and turn on fTPM.

Yup. Can't enable it anywhere else. The exact line you're looking for is "AMD CPU fTPM" or something very close to that.

There is a 5-15% performance penalty with our Ryzen. AMD and Microsoft will release a patch this month.

My asus rog strix with rtx 3070

And my new:

Asus Rog Flow x13 with rtx 3050ti and the new 8 core AMD ryzen 9 5800 series. This one also has an external 3080 GPU [emoji3] that you can plug it into. It benchmarks faster pa than the Strix.

Its a super portable 13 inch. Will give my Asus Zenbook to my wife as its MX450 graphics just wont cut it pala for my games. This will be my new office/bedroom gaming rig hehehe.

I like that ROG Flow X13. Brilliant idea to have a gaming laptop with an attachable 3080.

Expensive AF though, but if I were to spend on a gaming laptop it would probably be that, unless a 13” gaming laptop with a decent card comes along. Razer Stealth Blade has a weak CPU and only marginally better GPU than the 1650 on the X13.

Edit: INTERESTING, an X13 with a 3050Ti was just released. Not a 3080 but a 3050 Ti is pretty decent for 1080p gaming on a small laptop.

What made you decide on the ROG X13 vs the Razer Blade 14 for example? Similar size, Razer slightly bigger but no need for external GPU and cheaper overall.

My criteria:

1) smallest possible footprint and form factor because i will bring the laptop to work.

2) i will also be gaming on my lap in the evenings when its bedtime. Haha. An addict i know. So i didnt want too warm temps as well

3) i use a gamepad most times...and u can fold this laptop into a tent and that really helps with ergonomics

4) touch screen is definitely nice

5) most important was i could hook this up to the "made for it" external 3080 rtx box should i ever wish to. Maybe xmas time ;)

6) windows hello compatible with the fingerprint sensor

7) not sure who supports razer here in Manila but am very happy w Asus so far . So this brand bias made me focus on asus offerings primarily.

8) the Amd octacore procrssor rocks.

1 day old. It had blue screen of death when upgrading to windows 11. Couldn't boot anymore. No matter what i did. Had to send it back to asus megamall. They reformatted it naman. Avoiding windows 11 for now until it is stable.

You gotta be fukin kidding me windows 11. Now you have to change default browser for each file type. Microsoft is really desperate to keep users on their edge.

I haven't seen anything gained since I upgraded to windows 11. Puro negative. And most of these negatives are "features" so I don't think it will be addressed with patches.
