    a) buy 1 big fridge 10 cu ft or more
    b) buy 1 smaller fridge and 1 ice chest

I'm looking at panasonic...yun ice chest ano bang magandang brand..?
just my view on it.why not buy a small freezer for stuffs which needs to be on the freezer and buy a 4 or 5cu.ft ref (that is without the freezer, kung meron)for items like milk, fruits etc etc.

Just the thread that I was looking for

We're also going to buy a new ref before we move in sa new house. I don't know if the correct way to determine the electric consumption is to know how much wattage the unit uses.

Right now we have narrowed down the choice between these two:

    1. Samsung side-by-side 14 cubic with 145watts maximum consumption for P41,000 plus.

    2. GE (General Electric) 10 cubic inch dual door (as in up & down doors) with also 145watts maximum consumption for P22,000 plus.

Right now were leaning towards the Samsung because it has more space and is side-by-side na, very modern design. The only downside I see is the cost.

I wonder if some of you out there have owned a Samsung ref, maybe you can give some feedback on durability, performance, etc.

go for the side by side type ref, mas ok ito at mas spacious para sakin. also like you said mas modern talaga tingnan. main kitchen ref ko is side by side whirlpool, sobrang lamig kahit sa normal ref side pag sobra 3 na ang setting which is middle medyo nagyeyelo na ang mga tubig ganun kalamig! sa freezer side naman nasa 1.5 lang ang setting at yelong yelo talaga lahat hehe

dunno how much though kasi binigay rin lang as reward

Thanks! I'll check the plastics when I go back to the store next week. I'm more concerned sa life ng motor even if it carries a 5 year warranty on it.

The Whirlpool brand was our first choice but then medyo Whirly ang price for us hehehe.
