pls help.. m about to buy a 7cuft 2door negosyo ref condura refrigerator.. they said that its energy efficient since its a no frost and its a best buy.. what do u think?
to see if it's really energy efficient, look at the EER (energy efficiency rating?). The higher it is, the better. Usually, Panasonic tops this.
^^^ Agree there bro.... Especially with their inverter compressor technology.... Just bought one last week.... Freezer is at the bottom,- so the household helps have some small adjusting period....

^^^ I have a couple of personal observations though with that ref:
1. The shelves are not high enough to accommodate our (tall) water containers... So, we are using the ones mounted on the door (sadly, with different containers)...
2. The ice cube makers are cute with their twist and release mechanism,- but the ice are too small for our preference... So, to supplement this, we are still making ice cubes using our old reliable (Tupperware) containers....

Good Day !
Buhayin ko lang po uli yung thread . Please help, whats the best
Refrigerator, yung kahit manual frosting lang. Masipag naman si misis mag
defrost e hehehehe! And besides na naka try na kami ng no frost ref, whirlpool. After a
year lang sira na.
TIA. .
The thing with refrigerator is that we seldom change it. It should last for years or even decades. So kinda hard to give assessment of current models if the ones we are using now are old models like me.
But if I were you, I'll go for locally known brands. We currently have a panasonic semi-auto defrost. A simple ref actually that my wife and I are using for 5 years already (a gift for our wedding). Semi-auto is practical because it doesnt consume extra energy to defrost. Melted frost is deposited at the bottom.
But I read about the panasonic inverter type ref. consumes much less electricity if that is a major concern for you.
I don;t know is there us a condura or carrier ref. that might be good also.
Samsung and LG have the techie refs.
Parang maliit ata yung 9-10cu ft for 6 adults.
If you're going for the larger refs. (ie. 19-21 cu ft) go for Samsung. I would avoid American brands like Whirlpool, bec. of their electricity consumption. Btw, GE is also another one. So far, we have a GE and LG that broke down in less than 5 yrs of use.
For the smaller refs, there is the Panasonic inverter.
Most brands (GE, Panasonic, WhiteWestinghouse) still carry the frost type refs based on what i've seen. I'm also planning to change our two-door Whirlpool freezer/ref (left and right) due to its consumption and that its too big for our needs at home but i have to dispose it first. What I'm looking at is the Panasonic Inverter, Electrolux/White Westinghouse and GE units.
so weder weder din pala pag nakakuha ka ng lemon refs...researching mode pa rin ako, want to buy a 10 cubic feet ref, 2 door, no frost...dami kasi pag pipilian...budget is about 25k...
