sir glen ako ito na eh nagdadownload na ako ng KNOPPIX... yung for CD lang muna hehehe gusto ko try naiinggit ako sa mga tao dito.. sinu man nag simula ng thread na yun hehehe bwiset at naiinggit ako ayan tuloy late ako matutulog pero salamat hahaha

same lng sa XP, boot from cdrom (Xandros disc) then install from DOS lng automatic na ata lahat, select dual boot option. havent really installed it yet but yan ang instruction ng Xandros 3.0 install cd for dualboot

This is a nice thread about the pros and cons of using licensed or pirated software. Let's just not hit people who use pirated software below the belt also. Again, as I said in my earlier argument, we are in the Philippines where not many people can afford to buy licensed Microsoft.

Hehe... Funny. Kahit na hindi ako nagbebenta, lanshop owner o ano man, alam kong hindi oportunista ang tawag sa mga nananakot dahil gustong makabenta. In the first place, kung nasa legal ang mga shop na ito, meron bang dapat takutin? Kumikita sila gamit ang softwares, so tama lang na magbayad sila para dito. Simple, diba?

still stop being self-righteous ... kung gumagamit man sila ng pirated software problema na nila yun. kung kumikita man sila sa paggamit ng pirated software, still it's not your concern. you have no right to lecture, or even to condemn anybody about piracy just bec. you use orig software. There are agencies that handle that, both govt. and private org.

I've got some Qs...

1. what's the difference ba ng Windows XP Home edition selling at 5.2k vs. Windows XP Pro tagged at 8.8k..

2. same price din yung WinMe at 5.2k dun sa napagtanungan ko na shop.. so w/c is much better, winME or WinXP Home ed?

3. pwede din ba gamitin yung win xp home edition sa business/office use.. or strictly for personal/home use lang?

4. pwede ba Windows yung OS at Linux yung office para makatipid naman..

5. kapag ba ginawa yung document using Linux office ay pwede din i-view sa MS Office and vice versa?

sensya na po at wala akong kaalam-alam sa ganyang mga bagay...

baka po meron kayo alam na mapagbibilhan ko ng mas murang orig bnew windows, kindly PM me.. can get it by tuesday.

1. xp pro, pwede ka sumali sa windows Domain kung may domain kayo, (pang malaki opisina) at may remote desktop sya, yung Xp wala nun,

2. Mas maganda XP home

3. pwede sa office use, at di mo dapat pina pa renta.

4. Mag linux ka na lang (xandros.com) kung type, internet, chat chat lang kailangan mo, mag linux ka na lang maka save ka pa, at up to date lagi pc mo kasi madali i patch,

5. gumawa ka document sa Openoffice, pwede mo sya i save as word document 97/200/xp. pag sinave mo sya sa ganun format pwede i open ng MS word.

pwede i open ng openoffice ang .doc gawa ng ms word, xp office etc etc

I google hard to find freewares that will do the things I need. I pay extra for softwares that are really well written & deserve credit especially if they aren't that expensive. If I can't afford a certain software, I google for
open source alternatives. If I can do this, why can't others do the same? Many alternatives are out there waiting to be tapped if we are just resourceful enough.

I think I have the right to lecture about & condemn piracy since I've done so much to avoid it.

There are agencies that handle that, both govt. and private org.

Some lanshops have been operational for years w/o being raided. These agencies that you're talking about, both private & government, can't do their jobs alone.

I think your law-abiding ideas are worth commending. You just have an arrogant way of telling it.

3. di ko pinaparentahan yung PC per se, but i'm using it as a tool on my shop. so pwede ko ba gamitin sa shop yung WinXP Home EDition?

4. I really need the Windows OS coz almost all programs regarding my business run only on Windows.. So pwede ba WinXP OS ko tapos Linux Office ko.. di ko naman masyado gamit office.
