Here's a link to a user forum describing how someone successfully configured his EEE PC within Linux to use 3G data via a Nokia N95 connected via USB: http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=2109&p=1

    HTH.

Whoa. You mean to say GIMP isn't part of the Eee PC Linux OS? That's new to me. GIMP with Linux is like Windows with Notepad or MS Paint. It's always there. At least every single Linux OS I've used from 1999 have had GIMP included. Are you sure GIMP isn't buried in there somewhere?

Also, you should concentrate on exploiting the Eee PC's main strength which is a powerhouse internet portable with room for the occasional office work.

For more beefy Linux apps like GIMP, you're better off running a Linux Live cd from a regular lappie or just install the Windows version of GIMP.

yes, gimp is not included in the applications of eee pc. you have to install it yourself. here is a link that describes how to do it:

it includes some other instructions like installing windows xp. hopes this helps.

Need more info pls if anyone here encountered this hot selling mini nitebook.

Is this Asus EEEPC a good on-the-go work and surf notebook (as a 2nd notebook/laptop)? What are the pros and cons?

Are there USB connections so we can connect an ecternal DVD/CD player/writer and additional external hard disc drive?

Btw, here is the site link:
