    That's not always the case. My Compaq M2000 is supposed to be underpowered for Win7 as indicated on the Upgrade Advisor's specs. But now I'm running RC build 7100 for 5 months with no problems. Not even BSOD!

    Compaq M2000 Specs:

    Celeron 1.5GHz processor
    768MB RAM
    40GB HDD
    Intel 915GM graphics (up to 128MB shared video memory; NO Aero)
    DVD Combo Drive
    Broadcom Wireless LAN
    Realtek LAN

    It can't even run Vista decently!!! It's far from the speed of Win7 on my P4 desktop (3GHz, 3GB RAM, 250GB HDD, 8500GT), but heck, it's more stable than XP. I'd take stability over speed anytime.
