June 28th, 2017 02:10 PM #22come to think of it never pa ako nakabili ng laptop locally. Either sa amazon or sa mismong US stores nila.
i've only had one bad experience with a thinkpad...out of the box one corner was damaged, then ayaw tanggapin ng local service center for repairs. So much for global warranty.

Personally, everything being equal (processor, RAM/SSD - brand and speed, Ports)
And since wala naman akong issue sa service centre...
Deciding factor will be the keyboard and trackpad...
I love Apple's butterfly keyboard and I think the newer Asus Zenbooks are closest thing to it...

Same here, since majority nang Non-Apple Laptops is pare pareho lang talaga.
Sa ergonomics and aesthetics nalang ako nagbabase ng pagkakaiba nila.
Most of the time, Dell & Lenovo ang lamang dito. Though medyo pricey sila ng konti against the competition, pero yung quality kasi ng materials ng case ng laptop is maganda naman talaga.
Like for example yung Dell XPS 13 with Infinity Edge Display. Though mabigat sya medyo for a 13 inch laptop. I personally like the gold color nung laptop na to.
If I am to buy a Windows Laptop in the near future, isa to sa mga nasa top list ko.
In terms of software support naman, Dell & Acer ang nangunguna dito. I don't hate Lenovo, pero hindi sila maasahan sa driver support, like for example, my dad has a Windows 8 Lenovo Laptop, nung nag update ng Windows 10, walang supported drivers for the graphics card. It took 6+ months bago sila nakapag provide ng driver updates. To think na the laptop is relatively new dahil 1+ years palang laptop na yun. My dad loves to bring his laptop during our trips kasi mahilig sya maglaro ng World of Warcraft or Everquest II, eh dahil walang working graphics drivers, nag tsaga sya sa onboard graphics which as expected, mas mabagal hehe. May katamaran din kasi sya mag downgrade ng OS that time.

Kaya nga medyo winner ang Macbooks/Air dahil sa Retina Display nila, perfect for reading/browsing or programming. Though yun nga, pricey din, plus hindi sya for gaming. More on professional work lang talaga.

Sa mga looking at will be looking pa for a unit for their next purchase, you may try here:
Laptop Factory Philippines
I'm not affiliated with this enterprise but just find their prices really tempting for the specs on offer. Marami nang Core i7 7th Gen at naka-SSD pa. Again, my only issue with the models on offer karamihan eh TFT panel lang even those Full HD displays. If you're not too picky on displays though then you might save a few thousand bucks here.
