Whew! FA will still use the engine he ran in Shanghai, while LH, KR and FM will use new engines....
Tough luck for him! Again, an 'incident' in the first corner is the 'most logical' move, i.e., if he can position his car beside LH's.....

Alonso faces engine setback for '07 finale
Posted 16 October 2007 at 07:42 GMT
Lewis Hamilton will enjoy a horse power advantage over his teammate and championship rival Fernando Alonso as the 2007 season climaxes in Brazil this weekend.
The 22-year-old British rookie not only has a four-point advantage over the Spaniard, but a brand new Mercedes-Benz engine will be fitted to his single seater at the Interlagos circuit ahead of free practice on Saturday.
Alonso, on the other hand, must again use the engine he raced to second place in Shanghai two weeks ago in qualifying and the grand prix in Brazil, according to the rules.
Both Ferrari contenders are also due for new engines in Brazil, having reached the end of the mandatory two-race cycle in China.
The new 'engine freeze' rules for 2007, however, prevents Hamilton's crew - and the Ferrari team - from rolling out special aggressive developments for the championship decider, but the situation is a significant advantage for them over Alonso.
Because Brazil is the final race of the season, the necessary 'life' of a new engine is approximately halved, from 1000km to about 500km.
"It means that we can try to increase the severity of usage of the engine, for example by running higher revs," said Ferrari's head of track engineering (engine), Mattia Binotto.
"We can also run it at higher temperatures," he said ahead of the Brazilian grand prix.
The German newspaper 'TZ', meanwhile, claims that the Mercedes-Benz horse power advantage for Hamilton in Brazil, compared with Alonso, will be about 10 horse power.

hhmm, 10 extra horses? magiging advantageous kaya yan? sa mahabang start finish straight ng interlagos pwede, but the infield section is quite tight.

magdamot kaya to si alonso ng setup kay hamilton, manalo kaya sya ? it has been said before na advantageous talaga kay hamilton having alonso as a team mate kasi pwede nya kopyahin yun setup especially sa tracks na he hadn't raced before. i still believe setup is more important as interlagos is not a power track. feeling ko suspension setup is key to cope with the tight corners and bumpy nature of the track. in some corners, may mga bumps sa braking areas which can upset the balance of the car during entry.

Nope.
Alonso's style is radically different from Hamilton.
One of the reasons Alonso has been struggling is that Hamilton started the year faster than him.
On a close-knit team, Alonso could have pulled Hamilton's data out of the engineer's computer to see where he was losing speed to Hamilton and why.
No help there... Hamilton's style is much different, and the entry speeds, apex points and peak G's can't tell Alonso anything useful. Hamilton's style is smooth, flowing. It benefits from a steady car, but possibly masks any instability the chassis has. Alonso's style is dramatic, abrupt. He really loads the front tires up. His style, unlike Hamilton's, will show up any weaknesses in the set-up earlier than Hamilton's. (Again, look at how differently FA, LH and KR drove in qualifying in the rain).
The team itself has experience on the track, so they know how to set-up the cars.
The other half of the set-up equation is driver preference... and since these two drivers don't share that preference, neither can gain a significant tactical advantage from stealing settings from each other.
Can't wait for the race...

I have no choice but to watch the race online. Can anyone post the P2P site/s where I can do it?

yup i agree that alonso and hamilton have different driving styles. but i still believe even with these differences both can take advantage with setup sharing (hindi sa lahat but in some instances). i read somewhere (cant remember where) that alonso is unhappy with setup sharing with hamilton maybe because nalalampaso na sya. these maybe rumors or not but it makes for good tv
chief niky i think 130 ng madaling araw ang broadcast nto. eto yun nakita ko sa tv o baka chequered flag to .
subjective talaga. for me the stonic still looks ok especially the ones with updated KIA logo. even...
