Most countries will seem left-leaning to the average American, especially in Europe and even more so for Scandinavia. Our local media, meanwhile, seems to be left-leaning but it is quite populist (especially after the rise of TV Patrol and tabloid style news reporting on broadcast television).

Our DepEd school curricula seem to be left-leaning but private schools are mostly run by religious orders/groups and have an ingrained conservatism in values. Among the top universities, there are few that are truly secular.

The reality on the ground (and from the ballot boxes) is that our electorate can't distinguish between ideologies and tend to focus more on personalities and branding. I personally think Trump would fit right in if he were to be a politician in the Philippines. He is cut from the same cloth as the likes of Erap.

Marami talaga pinoy sa Republican. You would think they wouldn't want Trump because he is racist pero yung doctor ng second Mom ko die hard Trump din. He's a US citizen since he studied din sa US. We've been convincing my Mom to vote Trump pero no effect
Yes, that's right. And the US economy/inflation is a big issue.

    in presidents past,
the american public are more forgiving of their leaders' transgressions, if their economy at that time were good...

It's going to be a close race though, as of time of this post it's:

(edit) 210 for Harris and 230 for Trump.

The pendulum could still swing either way...
It's now 182 for Harris and 246 for Trump.

The Harris viewing party in DC has started to be more somber as the hours progress.

Trump is leading in battleground states Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Harris leads in just one: Minnesota. Nevada has started counting votes and it looks like Trump is leading there too.

The Associated Press just called Georgia for Trump. Even if Kamala Harris wins Arizona, it seems very unlikely that Trump will not win another term as POTUS.

Parang last 3 minutes of a basketball game where the other team is leading only by 1 or 2 shots. So short a time, but andami pa rin pwedeng mangyari...

I wish there were better candidates though.

The writing is on the wall, in my humble opinion.

Even if Kamala gets Arizona (where Trump is leading by a very slim margin) and another swing state like Minnesota (where she is leading), it will take a miracle of biblical proportions for the Democrats to overturn the leads in the other swing states, especially Pennsylvania, which is very very likely to be Red this election.
