The Democratic Party will have some soul searching to do. The magic of the Obama era is well and truly gone.

In this election, the GOP is still leading the popular vote quite handily. There is also clear control of the House and Senate. There are also more GOP governors than during Trump's first term. Adding to that a more conservative Supreme Court than ever before, the middle part of this decade will be one with a decidedly rightist stance in American governance.

This will also be an epochal shift in foreign policy. Traditional American liberalism might well be replaced with a more conservative and protectionist stance vis a vis a more assertive China and a belligerent axis of Iran-Russia-NoKor.

Dems lost their minds and tried to go pure woke. That was never going to fly.

Biden was able to win 2020 because he convinced enough of Trump's base to vote for him instead. Remember that these are traditionally republican guys, but they were ok with Joe because he was an old white dude that they can relate to (and Trump was you gotta admit acting a bit unhinged toward 2020).

Fast forward to today and their candidate is Harris, and their agenda is 100% wokeness. The blue states were already going to vote for Harris, but her job this time was to retain the portions of the republican vote that Joe captured in 2020. There's absolutely no way a republican would put a black woman in charge of America. She lost the Hispanic vote pa coz like us most Latin countries are deeply christian and patriarchal.

I guess the U.S. isn't ready for a woman president and people were willing to shrug off DJT's shenaningans and bring him back. Hopefully he would temper himself in his second and final tour of duty at the Oval office and learn from his mistakes so he can end his political career on a much better note.
