^ i have slightly higher expectations from our SC. They should not decide on what is legal, but what is right.

They are there to interpret the law and what it says (whether it is morally right or wrong). The Aquinos and the Congressmen who were in power for the last decade should've pushed for a law prohibiting Makoy to be burried in the LNMB. My 2 cents.

Yeah, only time will tell. i have a feeling that, a few generations onwards, people will forget about the Martial Law years -- as a people we've always been apathetic and ignorant of our political condition. All people will think is, hey, the guy is buried in LnB, so he's a bayani.

Personally, the blame should not be placed on the SC Justices nor on DU30. If only there had been a law that prohibits Marcos from being buried there, walang issue. The thing is walang ganung batas. Remember the SC Justices are only interpreting the law and the executive is the one who implements.

Ang tanong, sino ba gumagawa ng batas? At kaninong control ang Congress for the past 30 years?

Perhaps, it's the fact that one of the first things Duterte did upon his ascension to the throne was to order the burial at the Libingan.

Some people tried to seek an audience with him to air their grievances (our grievances!) but he ignored them as well (while he met with Peter Lim on the other hand).
