Hay naku mga lawmakers natin, sa kakahanap ng butas sa ABS-CBN nababalingan tuloy SPV at FIST laws.
Madali lang kasi magsalit in hindsight, with the benefit of looking in the past. But during times of crisis, sometimes the best decision is not the perfect decision.

dalhin ko dito
para sa economy yan
para maka bawi
i've heard foreigners complain that PH has too many holidays
like those foreign owned manufacturing plants in special economic zones (exporters)
dahil sa dami ng holiday nadedelay ang production / delivery nila
siguro narinig niyo narin ang ganyan complaint
sana huwag puro kneejerk reaction... dahil galit sa gobyerno

If your talking about holiday just look at china their chinese new year equates to 1 or maybe 2 weeks worth of vacation and here we only have 1 day vacation during chinese new year.

We have 14 official holidays kasi tapos ilang pang local holidays (City foundation day for example) and special non-working holidays with 30% salary or wage increase around 20-22 days yan.
Pero interesingly Malaysia 50 holidays pero investor friendly sila, most probably other factors din talaga. Pero I for one don't want to add another official holiday. Unless super important event.

Pilipinas are you ready for higher prices?
if you're a manufacturer, you're seeing your input cost rise
if you're an importer, your suppliers are raising prices
what do you do?
of course you can raise prices
but can you do that without losing customers?
do your customers have financial capacity to absorb higher prices?
-
Other economies are recovering
their consumers can absorb higher prices
how about you Philippines?

normally kasi when your economy is weak you'd have downward price pressure (disinflation / deflation)
when consumer demand is weak, mahina ang sales ng businesses so they'll lower prices para magkaroon ng benta
that's deflationary... it's good for consumers but bad coz the economy as a whole coz it means less money going around
when businesses lower prices they see profit margin drop or break even or even lose money
di magtatagal they'll lay off workers and close
in a deflationary environment, consumers may even hold back spending waiting for prices to fall further

PERO ITONG NANGYAYARI SA PINAS IBA
mahina ang economy but prices are rising
kaya STAGFLATION
stagnant economy with rising prices
