Wow, looks like a nose dive. What could have caused it?

Does US politics also have an effect on it?

if Biden wins it's actually bullish for oil coz he'll ban fracking

that will reduce US shale oil production which has been a headache for OPEC/Russia

so oil price falling is a sign Trump will win?

    i dunno

Yes I heard on the news that Biden plans to ban fracking if he wins, so I guess it looks like that if we based it on the oil price movement today. Let's see if it recovers tomorrow.

    Nope that's not my area

i only suggest financial market investments to the cousins/uncle

i suggested they buy GLD when the Fed lowered rates to zero to support the US economy when the pandemic hit

    Fed funds rate:

    GLD:

Is this the beginning of the end for Big Oil and its grip on our planet's resources? Shell's refinery in Convent, Louisiana, responsible for 211,000 barrels of oil every day, is the largest of its kind to shut down since covid devastated worldwide oil demand. Shell is reducing its 14 operating facilities to 6 by 2025, part of its plans to move away from fossil fuels and pursue alternative energy. They rank in the top 10 of the 100 companies responsible for 71% of all global emissions, so a change like this can't come soon enough!
