At least one peso increase next week for gas, 80 cents for diesel.

No, it's not. Just regular station works (BMW promo display, pavement repair, UGT replacement, Deli2Go conversion). 😊

Upgrading to Euro 5 will not require any digging whatsoever. Just like the Euro 2 to Euro 4 switch, all they have to do is use up the old products in their tanks, and then have the tankers deliver the new products.

And also remember, Shell is a refiner. They just spent several hundred million to upgrade the ancient Tabangao refinery to meet Euro 4 standards. It will take several hundred million more to upgrade again to Euro 5, and you can be sure that they won't do that without government prodding.

Thanks bro.,- now, I am torn between filling up this week, or wait until the fuel allowance reboots itself next month (next week)...

True on the date of posting as oil shoot up at the start of the week. But with yesterday's closing drop, there shouldn't be any price movement.

Weekly price change is based on the week-long average.

Latest trend as of yesterday is still +1.50 gas, +1.10 diesel. Even if prices drop tremendously for one day, it won't significantly affect the full week average.

Those will be significant increases, indeed.

The World Bank is predicting prices over $55 per barrel sometime next year. Not sure if the Duterte economic team already factored this in for 2017. Inflation will likely be over the consistent 2% or so performance during the PNoy administration.

Filled my tank yesterday, thanks to the info here. Should last me till the next (hopefully downward) price adjustment. 😁

Russia confirmed it will not be taking part in the talks and Iran and Iraq are resisting pressure from Saudi Arabia to curtail output....

I heard on the news that whatever supposed rollbacks next week will be wiped out by the strong dollar.
