I told them dead straight, if it's a MLM seminar, I am going to make a fool of me and my friend in the middle of the seminar. So far no one has taken up my challenge. hehehe (Too bad for me, I was looking forward to some serious heckling.)
Been there... done that.... hehehe though medyo refined type...

A director of one of the companies i worked for before invited me... syempre di maka hinde... brought me to Makati ( I had to go home to Bulacan pa that evening...sheesh!).. It was oxygenated water and supplements or something.....

I listened in silence and carefully..Then when the presentation was over.. they said ..Are there any questions?.. I go..

    - if the product is great w/ large profit margins.. why dont you offer this to the public via department stores drug stores etc..
    - is it FDA/ BFAD approved
    - do you have a study of your market share...etc..etc..

hahaha to say the least the whole presentation unravelled to the horror of the owners... I bet they didnt get a single recruit that nite....and I was never invited again.....hahahaha

For that, I will also give you props for that. I'm a management student myself from DLSU but kahit ano gawin mo, you won't find me joining those nor could you entice me to do so. I had my fair share of those "invites" wherein one I even berated my classmate for joining. Not only is the business model itself flawed but networking is ethically wrong as it's a zero-sum gain. It's not like the magic of capitalism.

There's no such thing as easy money. If there is, there won't be such thing as poverty. Yun problema sa mga bata today is that they're too easily enticed by material things as uls said. I mean, I have lots of "wants" but I don't fulfill them all. Sarap talaga banatan yun dating recruiter na nagsasabi "pare, opportunity kasi ito.. you can earn 50k in ano... one month and that's easy pa". Ang sarap sana sabihin na "Pinapagyabang mo 50k? Civic na nakabody-kits pero ricey naman? Tangina, eh million-million ako last year just because I invested in Cisco and I'd compound that further. Eat ****."

In evaluating a business.. ganito lang naman yan eh:
    1. How does it work?
    2. Does it make sense?
    3. Does it sell?
    4. Does it have a sustainable advantage?

Finally, there's two rules in business as per W.B. quoted:
    #1 Do not lose money
    #2 Remember Rule #1

The Philippines isn't alone in this "network marketing" fad. Even international countries notably in China alot of people are being scammed by this scheme. Donald Trump and Bill Gates advocates network marketing? There's a line between true network marketing (ex. Avon's direct selling with 6.3m reps) and pyramid scams. In most cases, it's the latter one na 99% sa Philippines. Fools are those who join.

I really love reading these bad comments about marketing! Me too is against this BS!! My friend before invited me for a decent job(tutor).

Things I hate na sinabi nila:
-We're not against education pero this business will guarantee financial freedom.
Would you tell that to your parents?
-this product is certified weight losing. 10lbs/week.
-tignan nyo ako, pinapawisan kahit may aircon kasi dahil to sa product namin. Papayat na ako. Networker for 2 years.

Mods: sorry for some bs words

-so sad these networking businesses turn our friends to strangers na laging sumisigaw ng "POWER! Woooh! YEAH BAH! GRAAAAAAAABE!". BS talaga!

    Dagdag ko pa
    - Status ng status about joining that network marketing

The problem with them is that, they encourage spending parang spend more and tira nothing. Parang dami pera kala nila in the future may tira pa. Some students, aasa pa sa magulang *facepalm*

The sad thing about MLM is that it's all dating and very little datung (except for the early joiner uplines).

Your post says it all. Your interest is in recruiting downlines rather than actually selling a product.
