Ganyan pala katanga ang Megaworld. 10M discount dahil typhoon damaged? E hindi naman sila gagastos ng 10M to have the unit repaired.

I guess the Yellow este Liberal Party senators should be the ones convincing the other senators, since the yellow este prosecution is not putting a good show... Pati si JPE naawa na.
MANILA, Philippines - Several LP senator-judges helped 'save' Day 9 for the prosecution by pointing out that the declaration of one's statement of assets, liabilities, and net worth (SALN) needs to be accurate, timely, and truthful. Two of them, however, said the testimony of the Megaworld Corp. witness was no longer material to Article 2, saying it concerns only the non-disclosure of the SALN.
Senator Teofisto Guingona III (LP) noted that while the Bellagio unit was purchased in 2008, it was only declared in Corona’s SALN in 2010. He said Corona did not also disclose in his SALN the acquisition cost of P14.5 million, but only the current fair market value of P6.8 million.
Senator Sergio Osmena III (LP) demanded from Megaworld executive Noli Hernandez the price list of the other five penthouse units in the condominium to determine for how much they were sold and sought information, if any, about insurance claims made by Megaworld because of the water leakage in the unit bought by Corona.
“We’re trying to probe if that [price] reduction is valid,” Osmena told the court.
Senator Franklin Drilon(LP) echoed Guingona’s assertion on the truthful, accurate, and timely filing of SALN.
“In other words, filing is not a ministerial act. . .it must be complete, timely, and these are in the decisions of a number of cases before the Supreme Court,” Drilon added.
However, Senators Pia Cayetano (Nac) and Ferdinand Marcos Jr.(Nac) noted that the testimony of the witness was no longer material to Article 2, saying it concerns only the non-disclosure of the SALN.

malaking discount sa penthouse dahil sa water leak damage? o c'mon. im not buying it.![]()
still so many questions to ask the megaworld representative.
how can a condo unit sustain a 10M worth of damage? sabi niys finishing stage na sila, so it means meron ng windows etc...be as it may nakapasok na ang tubig meron ba damage ang kabilang unit or yun hallway etc...
how did the Coronas came to know about he discounted unit? did MW published it or did they offer it to the Corona? he said they were more than 10 other interested buyers, were the other interested buyers told about the high discount on the said unit? what made them to sell the unit to Corona and not the other buyers?
tapos sabi niya hinde daw niya kilala na si corona ang buyer pero at the same breath sinabi niya na 2nd transaction na nila yun...
prosecution should elicit answer from the bald witness that somebody from the higher up told him to sell the unit to the corona ang give them a huge discount and then subpoena that person.
but i must admit, nakuryente ang prosecution. their own witness testifying against them in favor of the defense.![]()
at one point, sabi nga ni lolo johnny kay jimenez eh......"ere you trying to cross examine your own witness?"![]()
Water Damage can be fixed cheaply, why give out a P10,000,000 discount. Remember, there were 10 interested buyers for the Penthouse.
Don't be FOOLED, people.![]()
Bakit tahimik ang CBCP tungkol dito?

PNoy asked to explain P40M growth in wealth
MANILA, Jan. 24, 2012— President Benigno Aquino III should explain the sudden increase of his wealth, from P15 million in 2009 to nearly P55 million in 2012, a Catholic Church official said.
Retired Archbishop Oscar Cruz said that the Chief Executive should divulge the source of his abrupt growth in wealth contained in a report by the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ).
He said that while Aquino has compelled other government officials to be transparent with their assets, the President avoided doing the same.
“Dapat lang na ipaliwanag niya... Gusto niya na maging very transparent ang iba pero siya ayaw niya,” Cruz told Church-run Radyo Veritas Tuesday.
“At isa pa ang Freedom of information bill ay ayaw niya. Di niya priority. Kung talaga siya ay pro-transparency e bakit di niya 'to ipasa. Hindi masyadong malinaw ang kanyang katayuan,” he said.
According to the PCIJ report, Aquino’s wealth had grown nearly three times or recorded a P40 million increase within a year after the May 2010 elections.
But Cruz said the public must not be surprised with the growth of Aquino’s wealth which might be derived from his share of the income of the Hacienda Luisita, a 4,915 hectares of sugar plantation owned by Aquino’s family.
“Kung sakali man yun ay kinita niya mula sa Hacienda Luisita, nauunawaan ko. Pagkat ang HLI, kaya yan ay protektadong-protektado at huwag mong gagalawin kundi tatamaan ka,” he added.
“Kung yan ay galing sa mga kinita ng Hacienda Luisita na kanyang kaparte bilang kaisa sa mga Cojuangco, nauunawaan ko.” Cruz said. “Pero kung galling yan sa iba, ibang usapan na yan.” [CBCPNews]
