Water Damage can be fixed cheaply, why give out a P10,000,000 discount. Remember, there were 10 interested buyers for the Penthouse.

    Don't be FOOLED, people.

Another example of this is the way the SC absolved one of its own for plagiarism (Justice Del Castillo), again using elegant prose to justify what was intellectual dishonesty.

Making bad decisions binding legal precedents, like the case decided by Justice Bersamin, et al, makes jurisprudence all the more repugnant to the intent of the Constitution, one of which is to limit the ability of the President to make appointments right before an election as part of a system of checks and balances.

The so-called "duty" to settle actual controversies and "interpret the law" gave way to personal and collective interest on the part of the members of the Corona Court.

That's just grand. Disappointing and grand.
I may not agree with what you said, but I'll defend to death that you have the right to say it. kaya sana naman mabigyan ng proper due process si CJ, strike him if you must, but hear him first!

By the way my Dad's good friend since his college days is also a Judge.

ah, ganon ba? ok. sometimes the wrong side of the law is the right place to be. .

Yep... If we were to follow that logic, more than half the developments all round will be discounted. Nothing's perfect. C'mon Megaworld, who's leg are you pulling? Defects are not discounted; it is rectified and sold it at the best price possible.

PNoy asked to explain P40M growth in wealth

MANILA, Jan. 24, 2012— President Benigno Aquino III should explain the sudden increase of his wealth, from P15 million in 2009 to nearly P55 million in 2012, a Catholic Church official said.

Retired Archbishop Oscar Cruz said that the Chief Executive should divulge the source of his abrupt growth in wealth contained in a report by the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ).

He said that while Aquino has compelled other government officials to be transparent with their assets, the President avoided doing the same.

Hindi masyadong malinaw ang kanyang katayuan,” he said.

According to the PCIJ report, Aquino’s wealth had grown nearly three times or recorded a P40 million increase within a year after the May 2010 elections.

But Cruz said the public must not be surprised with the growth of Aquino’s wealth which might be derived from his share of the income of the Hacienda Luisita, a 4,915 hectares of sugar plantation owned by Aquino’s family.

Cruz said. [CBCPNews]
