w/ the duterte admin green lighting the san miguel corp's bid to construct a new airport in bulacan, this development signals a prospective shift back to the aquino regime's public-private partnership (ppp) initiative and a move seen to be a deviation away from the much ballyhooed but floundering build build build flagship program of the president.

    They will loose their livelihood.
Worse is obando might get flooded more due to reclamation (no more free flowing water) and that place is sinking.

Dont know why they havent chosen a better place for the airport though.

I'm not familiar w/ the location of the proposed new airport in bulacan. What's sitting on there at the moment? Residential area ba sya o Rice fields o nakatiwangwang lang?

Btw, as is lang ba iyong naia pag operational na iyong bulacan airport or isasara sya?

    True.

Pero madami din matutuwa sa mga adjacent land owners kasi mag skyrocket naman value ng lupa nila.

Kawawang obando kung babahain pa mas lalo.

Bulacan is primarily agricultural. Why did they choose Bulacan & not Clark?

Palaisdaan and manila bay ang nandon.

The sitio pariahan that's been documented multiple times that sunk. That's what's there.

High tide at bagyo ang kalaban ng airport na to. What's worse, tubig alat sya.

Baka kasi may clark airport na naman? IMO, that Clark airport is too far (unless we have a high speed train like airport express that takes 30mins or so from manila or QC terminal) for me.

so reclamation ops muna din pala gagawin jan kung ganun. it must be a large place for a 2.5 hectare airport to be built over there.

from what i read smc, will also construct a toll highway to connect the nlex to the airport. included in the package is a railway from manila to the airport also to be laid down by them. so monopolize nila iyong mga entry and exit points papunta sa airport.

Si DU30 i think is seeking some medical checkup, dialysis or resting due to a medical procedure. pag balik nyan hinde na ulet maitim mukha niya. lately bago siya nawala parang umiitim ulet ang mukha.

Looks like our beloved president is now JUSTIFYING corruption. First he said it's ok for cops and other gov't officials to accept "gifts". Note that he does not use the word "bribe". Then he said that contractors for public works should just pad their bids by 10-50% so as to cover "kickbacks" to government officials. What gives? Is he now condoning corruption in his administration? And to think our beloved president is still a lawyer, last I heard. Or Is he admitting to his own corruption? Poor 16M souls who believed in him so much.

Now comes Senator De La Rosa admitting to accepting such "gifts" when he was a cop. Truly, a fish is caught by its mouth.

"In an interview with news channel ANC yesterday, dela Rosa said he accepted gifts from people during the Christmas season.

“I admit, I accept a lot of Lacoste T-shirts during Christmas. How can I stop them [from giving them to me]? I can’t stop people from bringing fruits, Edam cheese, ham. These are brought to the office and are given in the spirit of Christmas,” he said in a combination of English and Filipino."
