Powertripper... buti may CCTV yung lugar...

Ang Probinsyano congressman in hot water for hitting waiter

Another reason why Partylist system should be abolished...

Delos Santos is the son of prominent local contractor Grace delos Santos.

Ang Probinsyano, a new party-list group, won two seats in the House of Representatives after placing 5th in the May elections.

The party banked on the popularity of the long-running TV series of the same name. It was endorsed by Ang Probinsyano stars Coco Martin and Yassi Pressman who were featured in the group's campaign posters. Martin also joined its campaign rallies and motorcades.

So laughable that DFA Sec Locsin releases an angry statement condemning the UN after all that has happened these few weeks in the north and western Philippines and his very tame/meek response so far. This administration is such a lame duck.

    question

so if UNHCR does find the Duterte admin violated human rights sa drug war... what happens next?

    what does the UN do?

    economic sanctions on PH?

Alam na kung sino yung pagchichismisan sa state dinner. *If you know what I mean*

But on a serious note, depende sa trip nila na gawin. Medyo kahiyaan na rin lang. Yung bansa mo boto ng boto historically sa usapan ng human rights tas hindi sumusunod.

Their options are indeed limited. Economic sanctions are the usual measures nga lang. Wala naman enforcing power ang UN eh aside from the sanctions. Yun is if pumayag pa majority.

If the UNHCR does find the Duterte admin guilty, the sanctioning process will go through the UN Security Council in which the big 5 (US, UK, France, Russia and China) has veto powers. If one of these 5 countries simply doesn't agree with a certain resolution, the UN as whole cannot take an action. As we all know, China's interest in WPS is aligned with the Duterte admin.

after UNHCR determines that Duterte admin violated human rights, i think that will have to be elevated to the UN Security Council

UNSC will then decide if PH will be sanctioned

buti sana if sanctions target specific people

problem is sanctions are broad which affect a whole nation

pahihirapan nila ang buong population hoping the population will rise up and overthrow the govt

ganyan ang strategy lagi ng West

pero kaya ng power elite mag weather ng sanctions (Maduro is still in power, Assad is still in power, Kim is still in power...)

    it's the masses that suffer

so to those who are happy with this development

i guess you're ready for what's to come

Winnie the Pooh won't let his bff down hahaha.
Also, proving that those EJKs are state-sanctioned is going to be an uphill battle.

UN sanctions need to pass through the Security Council? If it does, permanent member BFF might use it's veto power to block it...
