    Protecting the motherland.

""That order of the recall is to persuade them (Canada) to make it fast. The more they delay, the more personnel will be coming back," Panelo told reporters on Thursday afternoon, pointing out that the garbage issue has become "disruptive" to diplomatic ties between the two countries.

"That recall shows that we are very serious in asking them to get back their garbage. Otherwise, we're gonna sever relations with them," he added."

Locsin orders PH consuls in Canada to go home until garbage is shipped back

Although to be fair, its right to be incensed over the garbage issue. I'm just wondering whats with the conspicous hardline stance? There is the issue of the WPS and they are so conspicously meek? And why is the Filipino importer not being charged?

This is also my observation, sir. Selective hardline stance from our government, to be frank. WPS issue is more pressing, more important, more to lose, IMO, but what do we get? Woof.

While Panelo et al. said that it was just a figure of speech and not take his words seriously.

These days i wonder whether to take HIM seriously or metaphorically. That stint in Comelec really screwed him up.

I'd take it metaphorically because everyone knows a war with Canada is impossible given the logistics and our military capable, and even if his boss makes good on his threat, the Canadians can just blow our ships out of the water within minutes.

A dog which is all bark has no bite. He just does it to show the foolish he is a strong president. Remember the riding to Pagasa on a jet ski or going to war with China stunt? All for show to the foolish.

Let Duterte ride on a ship with the Navy, and see if he doesn't go stir crazy or drop dead while at sea for a month or two.
