Ano sinabi niya??? Ninakaw para safekeeping???

Duterte says Marcos family willing to return 'some wealth in question' | Philippine News Agency

“And the only reason really was sabi nila, that the father was protecting the economy. Now, of course, the eventual kung maalis siya. But he was thought of regaining the Malacañan and that is why ganito ang lumabas. Parang naitago,” he said.

“I will accept the explanation, whether or not it is true, wala na eh. And they are ready to return. How much, they would give me an accounting,” Duterte said.

Duterte said he is now trying to look for a person not identified with any concerned party to handle the negotiations.

I for one believe all the money and all the credit ratings we have now, car industry lang talaga ang nagpapatakbo ngaun. collusion kasi yan ng dealers, car manufacturers saka banks eh.

The excise tax is being revived every month to remind people to buy cars para magkarun ng sense of urgency. kaya natatawa na lang ako sa mga cattle na sunud-sunuran sa palabas na'to haha. if one will know better and analyze better, yun Fortuner, MUX nag-increase na ng 100k kaka rideon sa excise tax issue na yan. I think all are in it, pati yun mga car reviewers like topgear, autoindustry. I don't mind at all kasi okey naman nagagawa sa economy as a whole, mga credit rating natin. pero these people who are buying cars right now, yari kayoin the next 5 next year, subprime ang labas nyo

The excise tax is real and so is with the new tax regime in order for the government to generate revenue to fund their so called war on drugs. So the poor got killed while the middle class will get f^ck with the escalating direct and indirect taxes. Only the elites will continue to enjoy the perks and get around the system.

    Re the weak peso

I pointed out months ago (before the media noticed) in another thread that the peso is falling against a falling dollar

The reason is domestic -- strong demand for dollars to pay for rising imports

It would be a good sign if we're seeing rising of imports of capital goods

But rising imports of passenger cars and other consumer goods due to strong demand ahead of tax hikes won't benefit the economy coz it pulls forward future consumption

    so after the Inquirer........

Duterte to go after Lopez companies for unpaid DBP loans | Inquirer News

“I’ll go after itong mga elite,” Duterte said in a speech during the 23rd anniversary celebration of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) in Taguig City.
“And yet, they were not able to pay and it was condoned by government,” he added. “Kaya noong binabasa ko ’yung… sabi ko, ‘I will go after the elite in this country because they are the ones really who’s benefiting from all of these things’.”
The Lopezes also own media giant ABS-CBN Corp., which Duterte has slammed for allegedly being biased against him.
Duterte has launched attacks against ABS-CBN, saying he paid the network for airtime during the presidential election campaign, using money he received from donors when his ratings went up. But he said his political advertisement never came out on the network.
    its payback time....

Kaya ba niyang ipasara ABS-CBN? Let's watch. Meanwhile yung 6B shabu shipment, walang comment? Wala bang makukulong, walang itutumba? Wala bang pagbibintangan?

Joey Cuyegkeng, senior economist at ING Bank Philippines, said the weakening of the peso depreciation is being mostly driven by demand from importers.

“In the near term, it’s import season. Imports are going to create pressure in the demand for dollars,” Cuyegkeng told reporters on the sidelines of ING’s mid-year economic briefing on Tuesday.

At the same time, Cuyegkeng said the demand for the dollar from investors is also increasing due to rate hikes from the US Federal Reserve
