kahit arestado na nila ang magulang ng maute brothers

at kahit patay na ang maute brothers

    the ISIS ideology lives on

the idea of an "Islamic State" in southeast asia based in mindanao is too appealing to jihadists here and abroad

after the maute group is gone, others will take their place

and if the govt keeps stalling peace talk with MILF, impatient and unhappy members of MILF will form their own rebel groups

this problem isnt going away even after the govt retakes Marawi

I don't know what he was trying to show by denying he asked for the Americans to help. If he did not ask for help and the Americans are now operating w/o his consent or even know how, does this mean he is out of the loop? Less than a year in office and his own cabinet is going over his head? We have lame duck president then.

My understanding is that he let the defense Secretary handles the coordination but he denies asking help 'personally'from US. He added, that it was part of our agreement with US pero nagpapasalamat din naman. Ganyan ko na interpret ung pinalabas kanina sa UH.

The govt won't admit the AFP's inexperience with urban warfare

The increasing losses on the govt side must be getting to Du30

Finally asked for help from US

No agreement with China. Any agreement to be done will take days with congress and senate approval. No issue naman jan, i-railroad yan ni Alvarez and Farinas. Vote yes, or else, no pork.

    China has no interest

Business lang gusto ng mga instik

The US must have been itching to go into marawi

The US is interested in any muslim extremist-related violence anywhere in the world coz they learn a lot from those

Duterte should be man enough to admit that he asked for help from the US, directly or indirectly.

He should be in the Independence Day ceremony, whether in Luneta or in Marawi. The Presidency is a 24-hour job.

House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez on Wednesday stood firm against the Court of Appeals, having choice words for the justices who ordered that the detained Ilocos Norte provincial government employees be brought before it.

In a text message to reporters, Alvarez, a lawyer, said: “That’s gross ignorance of the law. Mga gago ‘yang tatlong justices na ‘yan!”

the marawi incident took a toll on him

    seeing all those soldiers die

he was big on appeasing the armed forces since his term began

he had to double his efforts this time to keep morale up

    considering his age

    his body couldn't take it
