Just a way to use the Maharlika name as a form of another legacy for the marcoses. Idea ng Tatay, "naisip" ng anak kuno na gamitin ngayon para sa isang "noble" and "productive" source fo income for the country.

Majority naman ng Pinoy hindi alam na sobrang liit lang ng SWF na yan to make an impact for the country, plus, it would probably be a cash-cow for the favored people around PBBM.

It doesn't need to be logical, just create a project/prgram with Maharlika in it para balik ang alindog ng marcoses to cover up for their world-breaking corruption and abuses.

Each is entitled to his/her own opinion. Mine is based on historical facts and the intention of the marcoses to cleanse their legacy which the family has told, maybe "slipped" even, in numerous interviews. Nutri bun anyone? Maharlika republic?

Or maybe BBM just had a brilliant idea indeed although the amount of the fund is not brilliant.

But if the amount is a comedic masterclass, how in the hell would the IMF/WB etc. be even bothering with it? It's like making an effort for something so funny your efforts look stupid. Sabagay maraming die-hard marcos supporters at anti-US propagandist magiging masaya. Baka yung din gusto ng kano.

That's not entirely true. Some pinks may have expected the western media to not warm to PBBM, but to say na disappointed with his non-pro china stance is totally untrue. Dito na lang sa tsikot dami na nagsasabi na good move niya yan.

Ikaw itong malamang disappointed na hindi siya pro-China. Sabagay yung nantuturo eh 3 daliri pabalik sa kanya.

I read somewhere that an acquittal is actually final. Whereas a conviction is appealable up to the Supreme Court.

The principle of "better to let a guilty person go free, than wrongfully punish the innocent".

once maharlika begins, ung pesos na makukuha sa DBP, Landbank etc will be converted into dollars and sent to the SWF account at Goldman or JPM or Morgan Stanley or whatever IB

then the funds will be used to buy stocks, bonds, etc

If indeed managed properly, Singapore and Norway's SWF did have positive effect to the nation.

Kaya nga issue yang MIF kasi Philippine bureaucrats are notorious for messing public funds.

Sabihin na natin na may excess funds nga Pinas, yung issue ng corruption ang isang matinding "lingering" issue dyan. Yan ang problema, checks and balances ng SWF ng Pinas dahil rushed bill yan. At maraming experts, not just foreigners, ang nagsasabi na the PI has a very bad record due to graft and corruption.

Sana nga makatulong yan sa Pinas since for sure magiging batas yan. Wala na tayo magagawa. Good as approved na yan. We can only hope that the fund managers would do their jobs the right way. Kahit malugi (because investment nga and possible mangyari like what happened due to the pandemic), at least hindi ninakaw. Yun na lang sana. 'La na talaga magagawa dyan, magiging batas na talaga yan.
