business opportunity for suppliers of gensets, solar panels/inverters/batteries
even before the gensets break down, the provincial/municipal gov't will spend all their money on dieselSaw this in the news, they bought brand new gensets to augment the brownout and the government will give it to them for free (If i heard it right) Its a temporary solution maybe good for a year or two. then masisira na yung makina.
it's unsustainable

Marcos to take up Philippine economic agenda in Washington —DFA | GMA News Online
si jc punongbayan very anti-marcos yan
he's amazed at how well the US is treating bbm now
ano akala ni mister punongbayan?
the US is all about freedom and democracy and justice?
that the US will shun the son of a former dictator whose family never apologized for their crimes and never returned the money they stole?
that the US will shun the president of a country who won on disinformation (according to the opposition)?
haha
the US doesn't care about those things
what's important to the US is obedience
Does this qualify as a "Thrown under the bus" moment?

Hehe...obedience. meaning digong was a tuta of China and babym is a tuta of the US. Interesting. Looks like my company will now get preferential treatment from the government (which is actually happening as I post this). Nabudol ang 31M!

sabi foreign companies specially american companies won't invest in PH because the president is the son of a dictator
coz he won the presidential election using "disinformation"
"he's corrupt for sure"
"y'all need to boycott the Philippines don't invest there"
"we'll only invest there when they have a leader who's more like us... ya know... someone who shares the same values as us" (like leni)
ookaay...
after bbm allows more US bases in PH

Until andito na sila at andyan na talaga pera nila, then it's all still pledges.
Just like the previous admin na billions of dollars ang pledged ng China na kahit isang kusing wala naman yata nag materialize.
Ganun naman basta meron state visits, billions of billions of investments and i-pledge ng mga investors dito.
Talk is cheap nga eh. [emoji23]

Sandiganbayan junks Marcos family motion to reacquire illegally-obtained properties, assets
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 5) – The Sandiganbayan (SB) Fourth Division has denied for lack of merit a motion by members of the Marcos family to reacquire properties and assets earlier deemed as illegally obtained in a resolution promulgated on Thursday.
The defendants named in the resolution were late dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos, now referred to as the Estate of Ferdinand E. Marcos and represented by Imelda Marcos and incumbent President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Irene Marcos-Araneta, and Constante Rubio, a close associate of the elder Marcos.
On August 5, 2022, Imelda and Irene Marcos — mother and sister to the president, respectively — filed an Omnibus Motion for the issuance of a Writ of Execution to transfer properties and assets seized by the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) back to their family.
The SB on Jan. 25, 2023 resolved to deny their motion for writ of execution. The Marcoses then filed a motion to partially reconsider the denial on Feb. 17.
There were 23 different properties and assets listed in the SB’s resolution, namely:
