for the PRO-GMA - She just broke a promise and she promises to do better next time

for the ANTI-GMA - She is a liar!!!

your question seems double-edged.... the situation can be seen in a positive or negative light depende kung saan ka kakampi...

    eto pa sir hehehe

Papa: anak wag ka magsisinungaling ha, bad yun. you will not go to heaven.

    Anak: yes papa!

    3 days later:

Papa: ano ba naman yan school PTA na yan, nang-hihingi na naman ng donation? ano akala nila pinupulot lang ang pera.

Anak: papa, kinausap ako ni Mr. <Principal> today. tinanong nya how's your family. are you doing ok?

Anak: sabi ko: "papa has a new SUV and we will go to disneyland with mama, grandma, grandpa, yaya, kuya, and uncle doyle for 1 whole week.

Papa: eh bobo ka pala eh, bakit mo sinabi totoo?

Whew!!! It's getting hotter here :sunny:

    Just wanna share this:

(I think no. 2 is the reason why GMA lied)

    A Top 10 Fact Sheet on Lies/Lying
    http://teenadvice.about.com/library/bl10thingslies.htm

    1. Lying is the number one reason that people lose trust.

    2. The most common reason that people lie is to avoid confrontation. Getting in trouble is never fun but lying to avoid it is always a "band-aid" solution. When the truth comes out the confrontation is guaranteed to be even more unpleasant than it would have been without the lie. A lie compounds the problem, it doesn't solve it.

    3. Another common reason people lie is to make themselves seem "better" or more interesting. This sort of lying can be a sign of low self esteem, problems at home, or depression.
    4. Lies are like dominos - one lie can knock out whole relationships, destroy entire aspects of your life or even limit your future in unforeseeable ways.
    5. Lies are a gamble. Every time you lie you gamble with being caught.
    6. Lies have a way of getting out and coming back to haunt you.
    7. The worst lies are the ones you tell yourself. When you lie to others you are also lying to yourself.
    8. Chronic lying can signal a psychiatric or social disorder. If you find yourself "lying for no reason" or to cover up behavior that you know is harmful consider seeking professional help.
    9. Lies can damage your self image and cause inner conflicts (like dissonance) that drastically change the way you view, and act upon, the world and other people.
    10. "Little white lies" are lies that are told about superficial things and are told when the truth would only serve to hurt another person. They ARE NOT told to avoid confrontation or cover up the harmful actions of another person. For example: telling another friend that a haircut looks good when you don't really like it is a "little white lie", telling your parents that you are spending the night at a friend's house so that you can stay out past curfew is NOT.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL TSIKOTEERS!!!

oldblue, I really don't know if you have a business of your own, if you do, I will be surprise that if your business is still up, based on your business motto, I don; think any business will last a year with you at the helm, yes' it may be true that a certain percantage of the sale or product will be lose due to spoilage etc.. pero kasama talaga sa business yun, it may be product damage from the delivery etc basta uninterntional fault mismo ng nusiness owner.. pero hanggat maiiwasan, iiwasan yun but not kung pera na pinaguusapan, especially kung pumasok na sa cashier's box, I don't know how you do it pero I"m still amazed kung bakit ok lang sa iyo and your freinds na nawawalan ng P150/day, with my family maybe you'll call it unfair treatment to our employees pero at the end of the day they have to account the sales up to the last centavo...kung nag short sila it will come out from their own pocket/salary deduction, but that's how we teach responsibility to them, in all businesses hinde ok yun nawawalan ng P150/day, napakasarap naman palang magtrabaho saiyo, if ever meron ka nga business ok lang magnakaw oklang magsinugnalin ang mga employees mo...PM mo naman sa akin business add mo at yun mga nahuhuli namin nagnanakaw na employess namin dyan ko na lang pa apply sa iyo...tutal puro naman magnanakaw at sinungalin mga employees mo, it won't hurt to add more...

again oldblue, you comparing apple to orange, hinde mo ulit pwede i compare and lies from an ordinary person or sa example mo sa PTA sa president ng philippines...napakalaking diference ng lies nila dahil sa position nila sa society and effect sa tao......

and last thing never naging ok ang pagsisinungalin...ikaw lang yata nameet kong tao na nagsasabi ok mag singulin, oh well...

aminin nyo na din, most of you who argued with me had been incoherent with your posts just to ridicule me or to discredit my "flawed" logic.

    - there's one who wouldn't understand the plight of workers but at the last minute, declares that he cared for them.

    - there's one who even claimed that I made up a story of an openbook or a googleable (if there is such a term hehehe) biography of a famous person, just to discredit me here. <how can somebody be so low?>

    - there's one who considers lying an unforgiveable act, worthy of detaching oneself from the liar. but when asked what he'll do to a lying son, he agrees to forgive him bec. he loves him 4ever.

    - there are some of us who sets different standards (aka the presence of double standards) between leaders, ourselves and ordinary people. even to the extent of acknowledging that it's ok for ordinary citizens and businessmen to lie and to withold the truth, except for the President.

    - there are some of you who have been taking literally the title of the President as the "servant of the people". and then backtracks later. The meaning is of a somewhat "higher" authority. -> that you can't explain ...

    - there are some minor arguments like changing the meaning of a quote and exaggerating a post.

    - here is the most unbelievable of all, a person with a worker/employee status praising/appreciating the employer's over his.

let's just face it. we will lie, consciously or subconsciously, to prove ourselves and to save ourselves. hindi naman kahiya-hiya iyon to admit.
i believe it's part of our survival instincts, each and everyone of us.

ever wondered what's the nature of mother nature? it's all a lie.
analyze carefully, you see paradise, you see green land with flowing rivers and waterfalls, you see lush mountainsides, you see white sands with sky-blue waters ... then you settle for good thinking that it's the safest place you'll ever be. little that you know, that it can kill you no matter where you are.
