The disinformation campaign for the Marcoses has been going on for quite some time now, and obviously either people didn't see it coming, ignored it or responded with fact checks a little too late. And not mention the fact the elections here are a popularity contest.

I am one of those guys who believe that he won as VP in 2016.
I'm not a supporter and I did not vote for him.
Pero Leni would have not won in 2016 against BBM if PNOY was not the President.

The Yellows (opposition) should have seen this coming. they/we had 6 years!

While the other team was working to secure more votes, the yellows didn't even work hard enough to secure more seats in the Senate!

The best man for the job is a woman... I guess they were talking about R. Hontiveros!

The only bright side to this is after June 30 hindi na natin maririnig yung mga kabastusan ni Duterte on national TV.

I wonder if we still have to wait late at night for the President's announcements

Like what i have been telling before.
Its not Leni, its the party (LP) she presides over.
There are really a lot of people who hates the LP and add to that the enemies they made while they were in power.
The people are tired of hearing all their non stop nagging like a loud mouthed mother in law.
Irritating to say the least, If Leni had only been quite during her stint as VP then maybe a lot less people would be swayed by her demeanor.
She was the only vocal VP since the start of their terms. You cannot do that with a president who has a high approval rating.
The LP has been using the same tried and tested Black propaganda they used in 2010 but has now been least effective.

In 2016 a portion of Leni's votes are command votes due to her being an administration bet.

The thing is most VP use their time in the office to build alliances and start the early campaigning for the next presidential election in 6 years time.
think Erap, Binay, GMA. So you can close to guarantee that Sara will be doing the same in preparation for 2028.

I was explaining this (bolded words) a couple of weeks before the election.

Good to know that she will land in the Senate, but I really doubt it that Riza would make it should she go all the way in 2028, not when you have Sara, plus the possibility of Jinggoy and Bong Revilla throwing their hat in the race (they definitely are not stopping at the Senate) and Isko possibly trying again.

Nagrecount sa mga areas na kampo ni BBM ang pumili, mas lalo pang lumamang si Leni.

Binigyan siya ng Supreme Court ng chance na patunayan ang dayaan at wala siyang napatunayan kaya unanimously dismissed ang protesta. This SC is dominated by Duterte appointees. The same SC na pumayag ipalibing si FEM sa libingan ng mga bayani.

Nada. They got the wind knocked out of them when Duterte took office, as more than half of the members jumped ship to the majority.

In hindsight for me parang pinabayaan din ni pnoy ang LP during and after his term, parang tapos na ako sa obligation ko sa Pilipinas bahala na kayo. Walang leader na natira, iiwan mo kay Leni na wala naman experience sa politics yun partido, hinde na sila.nag build build build. Nawalan ng gana na mga leaders ng LP.

VP Leni dis not instigate the rally yesterday. Mga aktibista nga yun eh. Normal na sa kanila yun. Sobra na bias mo sir/maam, baka pwede mas lawakan kunti perspective. Lawyer si Leni, alam niya na kung magkakaso rin lag siya at gagastos ng milyones eh yung may mabigat na evidence naman. Alam niya rin na hawak ng GMA/Duterte group and SC appointees, uphill battle kung petiks lang evidence mo. Madali ibasura yan.

But everything has limits. It's ok to use democracy as long as not hurting the country.

We love our country, but think of it if what we are doing now really helping or not.

I think sa umpisa naman wala siya plan to be president diba. Tapos may sakit pa siya so i believe that those two factors affected his decision to lay low. Also, he was never the fighter type na gaya ni Guanzon/MDS. Plus simple nga lang at hindi naman mahilig sa spotlight eh.

Add those all up, you get a very retiring president. Pagod na din siguro.
