    RS Sprint,

question about the turning radius, on the Sport trac and Super Crew, are they almost the same? One thing I admire with the Super Crew is its, seat. I spent a couple of hours inside that pickup, while waiting for the release of the E150.

anyway i always wanted an expedition pero parati hindi natutuloy we chose an e150 over that last year...
    and now some Qs...

    rs,

malaki ba talaga diff ng 5.4l na expe sa local..sa power, comsumption?..ang alam ko ang mga eddie bauer ok din ang interior hindi bench ang harap...kasi mga 97 model nun mura na lang nasa 780-900 na lang unless i get a 2001 na low miles may tv pa saw one kasi may dvd pa...what should i look for sa 2nd hand na expe...
being a ford owner myself alam ko maraming little quirks yan mga trucks e...kaso why do they sell it so early..nalula sa consumption?..o natalo sa casino?...ehehehe

    Red Horse,

Nope, the F150 Super Crew requires much more space (bigger turning radius) to turn than a Sport Trac primarily because its much wider. Plus, to make a u-turn is far worse compared to the Expedition. When I parked our F150 and Expd side-by-side, the Super Crew was almost 1 foot longer! Hence, naninibago ako, as our office building has a tight parking space so maneuvering around parked cars and pillars was a nervous experience.

    Hero,

Yup night-and-day difference yung fuel consumption ng 5.4 and 4.6. On the 4.6 I'd get about an easy 4 kilometers per liter on combined short and long trips. On the 5.4, I struggle to get a decent 3 kilometers per liter on the same route! Aminado ako, mabigat paa ko pero still, 1 km/liter difference is substantial whatever the driving style!

Power is also a big difference, especially torque low-down. Now you know why we sold the local 4.6 agad?

As for those who buy and sell the Expd agad, I think its because they weren't expecting the maintenance cost and fuel consumption. Personally, I think Ford Philippines is a rip-off sa parts, especially when you surf the net and find out how dirt cheap Ford Motorcraft parts are in the US. I source my parts in Binondo.

    rs,

korek ka dyan!..ang mahal nga ng parts dito ng ford..batterya pa lang eh..6.5k ata or more yung motorcraft ..kaya nag motolite na lang ako..at buti na lang yung lahat ng repairs ko under warranty..kundi ang mahal sobra mas mura pa nga benz eh..

kahit yung f150 na lariat ang haba sa expedition kaya ang hirap i manuever sa mga parking lot..have u tried greenbelt..sa taas?..parang walang sinabi shangri la....yung expedition ba mas madaling i manuever?

i have to decide na quick...ang hirap talaga...finally tally sa run off...

    1. expedition...kahit xlt na 2000-01.. sanay na naman ako sa 4.5km/l
    2. cefiro?....dapat daw ata yung bago..yung last year na modelo pangit daw mabagal daw masyado?....

    RS,

thanks sa info. Pero my heart still goes for the SC.

    Hero,

Gusto ko rin ng kotse, but whenever I recall the sight ng isang rear-ended na abot hanggang driver seat... kaya mag truck ka na lang uli.

    Hero,
Expedition ka na. That's what i think your heart is truly beating for anyway.

    RS Sprint,
Do you have the contact number of the Ford parts shop in Binondo?

I haven't driven the 5.4L Exped yet, but knowing what the 4.6L can do, I bet it'll be a more delightful experience, if not for the fuel consumption.

    how about the rav4 instead?

    - no bone jarring truck quality ride
    - no cramped rear passenger seats
    - is even shorter than some sedans out there
    - no mall parking headaches
    - gas expense will not burn a hole in your pocket
