Top Gear’s Polar Challenge Special
******* Download Link: http://www.*************/tor/808991
In Top Gear’s most ambitious and arduous challenge to date Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond attempt to race from Northern Canada to the North Pole, 450 miles away. The terrain in between is some of the toughest on earth - a mix of mountainous land masses and jagged sea ice where temperatures can drop to a mind-numbing minus 65 degrees Celcius (minus 85 degrees Fahrenheit). Jeremy and James will be driving a specially adapted pick up truck whilst Richard will be travelling on something a little less high tech - a sled pulled by a team of ten Canadian Inuit Dogs.

If you review the events, if it was a single truck vs the sled dogs, the truck wouldn't have made it to the destination because the truck's tires fell through the ice and got stuck. It required a second truck to get it unstuck.
Another thought, the truck used up all it's fuel getting to the pole. How do they drive it back?

July 27th, 2007 09:01 AM #6Must-see video for toyota fans / off roading fans.
The top gear crew stage a race to the north pole, clarkson using a modified Hilux D4-D, Richard using the traditional pack of dogs.
The Hilux is simply awesome! Pati yung mga new-school off-roading techniques nila. When the truck got stuck in the snow at one point, they used industrial-strength bungee cord to tie it to the rescue vehicle. The rescue car can then set off at full throttle, and the elastic cord translates this to a very gentle, consistent pull on the stuck vehicle. (You see this about 39 minutes into the video).
Search for "top gear polar challenge" at ************* to get a ******* download. There should be a couple of versions out, 350mb low quality, 700mb high quality and 7GB! full HDTV.
