Anti-SUV Debate Thread

if you live in a farm lot and unpaved roads going to your residence then an SUV is a must..

i don't see the point why anyone would need an SUV when they live in the city..


this is why most provinces in the philippines have unpaved roads. The politicians (mayors, governors, congressmen) drives and owns SUV's so they would not care about the roads being lubak lubak ..

You're confusing your cause and effect.

The real reason rural roads are terrible is because the people in charge couldn't be bothered.

a lot of people assume people who drive big SUVs are mayabang (sobrang maling assumption) i dont. maybe honestly theyre jealous. id be lying if i said i hate SUVs. a little respect naman. people buy SUVs coz of the comfort and space it offers. people buy it not because they want to flaunt their wealth. they buy it because they know they deserve it since they worked their asses off and kahit driving to and from work man lang comfortable sila. im not sayin this to heat things up. i just got offended by your statement.

my dad and i drive a 5.7 liter v8 hemi AWD suv....kill me. :charot:

i drove 1000kms 2 weeks ago and i averaged 9kms/ liter highway..7 kms/liter city.

not too bad compared to some cars.

Wow! so you think if a person owns an SUV does that mean they're mayabang? does that also mean that they desreve to get killed? i don't think owning an SUV displays your status in life.. i mean there's far more expensive cars in the philippines not just SUV's so why bash on them SUV owners?
