ako trip na trip ko SUV. feeling ko mas safe ako dito kesa nagmamaneho ng kotse. at walang bitin kahit sa baha or ahon. ok din sya lalo kung iisipin mo road condition natin dito. imagine design sya for offroad tapos gagamitin mo sa city driving. tibay nun di ba?

Yung lola ni commander naka SUV din pero I don't find anything mayabang with her. She's 90 years old and very humble naman. I would never wish na mabaril siya or masaktan.

At kung empleyado lang yung driver? Do they deserve that?

If somebody pulled you out of your car and shot you... do you deserve that? Pinapakita mo rin naman ang kayamanan mo... owning a car when many people can't even afford the gasoline.

O kung isaksak ka para ma-snatch ang cellphone mo? Kasalanan mo ba, dahil may cellphone kang worth 1000 pesos kahit may mga taong walang pagkain at walang cellphone.

sarap nga magpapawis!!! esp. when you get your heart rate going.... I guess some people would rather run on the treadmill in an airconditioned gym rather than hitting the the tarmac with the sun and wind, or with the trees on the trail But then again, maybe there are physical limits as well of other people.

I do run/mountain bike and when you hit the trail and the nature, it does make you more appreciative of the environment. sometimes you do get a feel of how green peace and other similar organizations get paranoid about the environment.

Its a big problem, this energy thing. SUV's or not, as long as it degrades the air and the environment, it needs consideration. And if you hate SUV's you should role model on other fossil fueled contraption, atleast.

BUT if you must use something fossil fueled, do it in moderation ... the least waste it emits, the better... I think its just one island we all cannot get out off hehehe and its called mother earth

I wish we could have something like Samso in Denmark... almost all its energy supply is renewable energy ...

i think most pinoys buy SUV not to "magyabang", unless you have lots of money to burn. and not all SUVs are expensive, infact some cars have higher prices.

mas mayabang nga sa daan yung ibang mga modified civics or corollas na laging nagiingay at nakikipagunahan sa daan.

and if the time comes that you'll truly need it and have to buy one, better get a driver or you might be :injured:

how come when it comes to environment, people will hit on the SUV...

For me:

SUV is a choice, the same way I can choose an 8 cylinder or even a 12 cylinder car... I can also choose a 2 door car... which for me is not an environmental car.

I compute gasoline consumption on a per passenger basis... example, expedition with 6 passengers.... or a family of 6 people bringing 2 cars (which I have seen a lot of people do... the 2 cars are not the econo type cars)

Of course people will say get a Van, but I dont lug around my family on a daily basis

i think the yabangness (he he) of the suv comes from the driver not the car..unless its an autobot or decepticon..

anyway marami na rin sumusuko sa suv's because of gas prices.. just look at the ford section of the classifieds..bargains everywhere.. for me ok lang suv's, dapat kaming bigyan ng daan dahil sayang gas namin sa traffic hahaha

There are circumstances when an SUV is better than the common sedan. May practical considerations din naman at hindi lang porma. Problema sa ganda at very imposing na porma ng ibang SUV talagang maraming maiinggit ng sobra at nagiging homicidal. And it is this homicidal envy will never compensate for the sacrifice of not buying an accidental object of envy.

In the end whether you drive an SUV or not, it's still character that counts.

i like SUVs. i'd love to have a an LC100 or LC120 someday. the high ground clearance lets me drive through some roads that are otherwise unpassable in a regular car. Lets me ford through flooded streets without worrying as much about getting water logged. its roomy and can accomodate my growing family and my gears.
