Bought my ball and hook (not draw tite) at rides Banawe for P12,000 for the gen 2.5 which I think is the same for all pajeros.

I don't need the ball, just the receiver so it can accomodate bike racks. And the Gen2.5 have a ladder frame chassis, while the Gen3 have a monocoque body.

May nabibili bang receiver lang tapos gawan ko ng mounting para dun ko ilagay sa kinalalagyan ng pintle hook?

you can fabricate one. just weld 2 pieces na angle bar na 2" to make a square receiver.

May tao si Arnold sa ricemill niya na kaya magfabricate niyan (ginawa na nila dati sa hitch ng kanilang trailer para sa ATV niya) using angular bars as suggested by ARB.

alternatively, merun dito sa angeles who can fabricate it (Dayu - 09167820229) according to your specs or needs. Gumagamit siya nung square tube (na dala niya from US) na made from the same materials used for those original trailer hitch. Tapos pede mo pang ipapowder coat paint din (merun din dito naman sa Dau near the exit). It might cost cheaper than the original.

Paki-post naman po dito yung estimate ng fabricated hitch receiver.

Mahal nung receiver kay Dayu. 4.5K kung yung US square tube ang gagamitin. Around 2K daw kung ordinary angle bar.

Pagawa nalang ako sa welder namin dito using ordinary angle bars. Pero pwede kayang gamitin pang hila kung angle bars lang ang gagamiting receiver?

Php4.5k si cheaper than buying from the U.S., right? hehehe.

Sabi sa 4x4wire dati, pwede naman ang angle bar basta tama ang thickness at maganda ang welding.

Angle bar din ginamit namin sa Land Cruiser II dati. Nahatak naman niya yung W123 ko mula bukid to national highway papunta sa bahay namin sa Bulacan. Sinaksakan lang ng pintle hook attachment yung receiver (gawa din sa angle bar at sari saring scrap metal, yung pintle hook lang mismo ang binili na buo na).

Bili nalang ako ng 3/8" na angle bar, ganun din naman ang kapal ng pagkakabitan sa Pajero. Tapos lagyan ko na rin ng attachment para sa receiver yung OE pintle hook.

Itama mo lang yung sukat ng bibig ng reciever. Yun ang mali namin sa LC, hindi standardized yung sukat, kaya wala kaming mabili na ready made attachments, fabricate lahat.

Dumating na yung binili kong Bike Rack na may 2" hitch kaya magiging tama siguro yung sukat.

Gaano kalayo ba from the tip/lip of the receiver ang butas para pang lock ng hitch?

Kung kilala mo si Richmond Lim, parang merun hitch receiver yung Expedition nila...
