NONE..
besides the 2nd pic isnt modern at all its just the lowered version of the 1st pic
parehas lang yan brother, same platform, old school engines, and basic jeepney structure.
same style pa din...same body design, aesthetics lang naiba diyan (i.e bumper and rims). over-all its the old school OTJ
iisa at iisa pa din kase ang over-all design ng mga OTJ

wala rin akong makitang pagkakaiba e
parehas itsura
parehas style
parehas design
lowered lang yung 2nd pic. yun lang
The modern type's driving position is more cramped because the roof was lowered but the floor height remains the same.
Solution: Use a perimeter frame (one that goes around the front driver / passenger area) to lower the floor height.
My pick: A Mini Moke with a Honda Vtec engine.
None for sure. Jurassic Technology, World War 2 Vintage Transportation. Cramped, Uncomfortable, Fuel Inefficient, No Safety Features Whatsoever. Just like ordinary jeepneys plying our streets that needs to be phased out.

"Modern" would be an owner-type with a coil-sprung suspension and an SR20 or a 4AGE engine. Neither of those owner-types match that criteria.
Furthermore, a "lowered" leaf-sprung owner-type just doesn't have any suspension travel... have fun driving that over a bumpy road. Have lots of fun if that road is wet.![]()
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
trip ko yung pseudo-sayad styling. meron pang mga 4" compression yung suspension niyan. di lang maganda ergo dahil malapit na yung ulo mo sa bubong, mahirap makita yung traffic light pag nasa unahan ka ng pila sa intersection waiting for the green. some assemblers know how to make the driving position comfortable.
the americans have their share of lowered jeeps

Neither. I can't even pinpoint from the 2 which is modern and which is not. Well, if there's such thing.
They're basically the same. The 2nd pic, as what others have said already is just the dropped version of the first one.
And I don't think our OTJ's will be considered as modern unless they're slapped with some bad ass engine, all the power features that you could ask for, leather seats, wider windshield and I guess ... a different body platform which I assume will be still impossible to be done as of now.
Kasi, the OTJ's before and the OTJ's now are still the same. They just differ from the borloloys that the owner attach.
Dati ang ginaya jeep na pang WW2, sana yung "modern" naman ang gayahin eh, yung Wrangler o Cherokee
