damn. just checked my axle boot ... punit yung inner boot. kaya pala may naririnig akong ingay. manalangin na lang ako na wala pang ibang nasira bukod dun.

agree. lalo kapag ang daily route nyo is flood prone area. nakupo, ang mahal magpalit ng CV joints, saka hassle din.

tong axle boots na din ba yung para sa CV? i mean pag sinabi bang repack ng CV joints eh eto na din yun, inner and outer boots.

Just discovered this am that my right outer CV boot was torn. Siguro from my previous offroading. No wonder I hear a humming sound when I run at 60kph and above. Pinalitan ko outer ng both sides. Ok na.

Buhayin ko lang itong thread.... Yung axle boot ko me tagas din tapos yung sa may steering... kumalas naman yung boot. Kung papalitan ba ito ay kailangan ko ba ng wheel allignment?

yes sir. actually, very recently, nagpagawa na ako. pinasabay ko na kasi yung tie rod ends, rack ends, saka yung stabilizer bushing.

sa steering you need to align after but sa cv joint hindi na since di naman gagalawin adjustment mo for the tie rod.

Yung original sa honda 2k yung part + around 600 sa labor for one boot. Tatagal kaya ng ilang taon rin yung mga replacement parts?

it should last naman if wala ka madaanan na branches etc that normally tears the boot.

Ok naman ang replacement boots. Toyoda K nga lang ang gamit kong boots. Php130.00/ea. Pwede na isabay yung paglinis at pag-repack ng bearings.

I used replacement boots for my driveshafts/axles. About P150 ea. at banawe plus the P80 axle grease and DIY.

Where can I find a replacement spindle nut for the axle? Casa's price is too much for a single nut.

any auto supply should have the nut. shouldn't be more than 100 pesos.

Guys, if the outer boots needs replacing, does it make sense to have the inner boots changed altogether even if it's still ok para sabay sabay na?

Also, since I'm already asking, may I add this one : about stabilizer links (rear), when attached to the car, should this be slightly movable (joints bendable) or really really stiff? One mechanic said the former, another mechanic said the latter, I don't know which of them is right or if it needs replacing.
