Sound deadening material in the door panels, front passenger footwells, firewall, dashboard, roof, trunk and trunk lid. Don't forget the floor boards too.
flashbands (available at handyman, ace hardware, and the like) are good sound deadeners...but the cheap and equally effective ones you can find in juan luna st. in binondo and comes in the form of 2 sheets of 99% industrial grade aluminum (dual sided aluminum - not aluminized!) laminated to a 3/8" fiber tech padding - the kind used in air conditioning ducts for thermal insulation (costs around +/ - 70 pesos per meter).they serve the purpose of sound deadening and radiant heat reflector and can easily be cut and glued to cover odd shapes and panels in the car. you can diy. believe me it's fun and easy. you and your car will love it! good luck!
Ziebart has the sound barrier, it reduces road noise significantly. But it's a bit expensive.
mang dencio: thank you very much! i think i will do this...kaya kasi i DIY...kaya lang di kaya babaho kapag nabasa?
falken: i think zeibart already closed its shop already
beige: thanks...ill keep that in mind
shampooking: what about mr tan's method? is this the spray on sound deadening material? or is this the same as what mang dencio suggested?
I forgot to mention the center hump running the length of the cabin, maingay yan kapag rear drive yung sasakyan (drivetrain and transmission kasi).![]()
Pitbullz, meron pang Ziebart sa Pasong Tamo near going to Mantrade. Malapit siya sa Coolmate and PC Express.
falken: yun ba yun may acdelco?
mbeige: di naman...charade lang po oto ko hehehe...tinipid daw yun charade dito sapinas kaya sound insulation lang binawasan pa...bad trip
shampoo: ano ano nga ba yun mga methods nya?
which leads to the next question....ano ano nga ba ang mga paraan para ma sound proof yun oto?
i saw some car owners apply insulation sheets right after a washover job. they apply them just before replacing the carpets and the other interior stuff. it looks crude but i suppose it does the job effectively.
and i think they also apply this on the roof of the car just before installing the ceiling lining so as to reduce heat transferrence too.

if your car is a charade. sound deadening would not help in killing the sound you hear.
the design of the charade, and cabin is full of opening where sound or air can get into the cabin.
if it has something to do with your tires, its even much worst. theres a opening from the wheel wells that is located near your door hinge. the only thing that separates you and the tires through that opening is the rubber that arches along the wheel well.
applying flashband would not help unless you plug that hole with flashband. save yourself 3k or so by not applying flashband on the doors, cabin floor etc etc
I should know, i have done the same thing on the same car sometime ago.
