Anyone has and have tried this OBDII Scan Gauge with local released cars?

How was it? What data can you get? Do you know where we may get this locally?

what will you use it for? on a honda? make sure it comes with the correct socket. pre-vtec3's did not have the regular obdII port and only came with the 3 prong socket.

you won't be able to adjust anything tho... maybe monitor lang.

we've got a more complicated version of that in the shop which we use on cars that need resetting.

Thanks, speedyfix. Was planning one lang sana for the Gen2 Rav. Check it naman to have an OBDII port already. Yes, wanted it for monitoring lang sana. Do you know a place that may be selling this, or a similar gadget?

Inquire lang din on the version you have on your shop. What services can your shop do to a car with it? Thanks.

you might be better off ordering it in the US. alam ko the most basic obdII readers retail for about $4-600. the one in the shop is a little less than $4,000.

    you can check the site:
    http://launch-techs.com

this is the unit we have:
    http://www.launch-techs.com/x431/

andyan narin features nya. iba iba depending on the car tho. sa mga benz and bmw super dami pwede gawin. from the interior and radio of the cars to checking and sending signals to specific sensors to check if they are working correctly.

on the xtrail you can advance timing which make it even more fun to drive.

on a honda all you can do is reset the box and monitor different things.

pretty complicated to explain exactly what it can do pero if you're interested you can read the site.

those things sell like hot cakes. ubos na lahat ng kanilang first production run. next production will be may06. its a nice gadget to have so you can monitor a lot of things: revs, fuel consumption, outside temp, etc. as long as you have an obd2-compliant socket, which all cars post-1996 should have.

Thanks, KoKoNAT. Do you know a place that sells, or was selling one locally before naubos yung first production? Either they still have unsold old stock or will have the new stock soon.

unfortunately, the philippines did not stick to the worldwide obd implementation. 1996-2000 hondas do not have obd ports. other cars naman have their own things going on where you need vehicle specific sockets to read their data.

i think you're safer betting on obd ports on cars 2001 and up na.

on nissans tho, may special sockets sila and depending on whether the car has a can-bus or not you may not be able to read it with the obd reader.

Hmm, are the features really useful and sulit b ung 7k? My nissan grand livina doesn't have a engine temp gauge, it will only light up once the engine is above its normal operating temp. Kaya im looking for something that will help me monitor my temp and other useful things for my car.

    TIA

OBDII Scan Gauge - Anyone tried this?
